First Lieutenant Robert Decca, is a soldier currently seeing duty in the Imperial Army.

About

Personality

Robert has always been a man of honor and integrity as well as having a strong sense of duty to his government which he undertakes with great pride. He is an advent fan of protocol and formality while performing his duties. He believes protocol to be an important part of military discipline and showing respect for superior officers. However he is not perfect and has been reprimanded a few times when he has erred, but has taken any reprimands with acknowledgement and a mindset of not making the same mistake twice. When not on duty Robert is quite social and easy going.

Throughout his life Robert has known and seen injustice. He saw first hand the corruption of the so called Galactic Alliance. He sees clearly what is wrong and what is right. This sense of justice is another driving force in Robert's determination to assist the Empire in bringing order to the galaxy. He is easily distressed when confronted with injustice or witnesses it happen to someone else however he normally won't fight it head on, knowing it to be futile in most situations, instead he remains calm and tries to correct the balance of injustice by being a loyal soldier in the Empire.

" Laws change depending on who's making them, but justice is justice."
— Robert Decca

A major part of Robert's live is purpose. He believes his life to be meaningless and uneventful without a higher purpose. Currently he believes serving in the Empire even at a low level is enough to give him a greater purpose though is looking forward towards the day he can serve in a higher capacity for the betterment of the Empire.

" Happiness is not gained through serving yourself, but through fidelity to a worthy purpose."
— Robert Decca

History

Pre-Empire

The New Republic

Robert initially joined the New Republic in hopes of combating the evil he once thought was the Galactic Empire. Based on his operational computer skills he was placed in the Republic's ship building factory, Incom Corporation. After a short term Robert was appointed head of prospecting for Incom. However things turned sour quick when Robert began realizing how corrupt the Republic really was. Seeing disorder, leaders bickering and slandering each other in public and corruption run amuck made Robert very uneasy to the point of him resigning from Incom Corporation and abandoning his Republic citizenship.

The Falleen Federation

Still wishing to combat the Empire, Robert applied for citizenship in the Falleen Federation as well as enlisting in the Falleen Army at the rank of Acting Lieutenant, a senior non-commissioned rank. Within the first few months Robert befriended Deputy Director of the Federation Intelligence Bureau, Sabo Magus. The two would work together closely during the duration of Sabo's service to the Federation.

During the Fiefdom Program Robert was appointed as Governor of the Rintonne System, under the jurisdiction of Sabo Magus, Governor of the Lambda Sector. Robert worked on new city designs aimed to balance employment rates, increasing affordable housing for the workers, and provide entertainment to keep the citizens happy. However the Fiefdom Program would come to an end after the Falleen economy took a turn for the worst and the central government was forced to take direct control of systems.

The Exiled Rangers

Early in Year 14 then leader of the Federation, King Rick Farlander had a meeting with Sabo about gathering intel through a group disguised as a neutral mercenary faction. Rick Farlander transferred 40 million credits from the Royal Treasury and gave to Sabo to start the faction. The faction, in theory, was suppose to operate as an external extension of the Federation Intelligence Bureau, without the ties to the Federation. Robert, who by then was already an advisor to Sabo, was asked to join him in the faction and on day 62 he retired from the Federation and joined Exiled Rangers, his rank transferring over to Lieutenant. Robert worked closely with Sabo on the organization and structure of the group as it became clear Sabo was not very organized and things were already in a state of disarray. Robert implemented basic structure of three Directorates: Operations, Analysis and Engineering, he also wrote protocols and procedures regarding intel operations. For his continued work and support Sabo appointed Robert as Director of Analysis. Varro Belle, a Major in the Fallen Army would later join as Director of Operations.

Tension soon arouse between Sabo and the King when the King declined monetary support for the group, citing a failing economy that had put a burden on the Treasury, however other support would be given such as ships and weapons. Sabo became angered and even mentally unstable. Robert was often interrupted while working to hear Sabo complain about the King's refusal for help and even mention breaking away from the Federation. At that point Robert knew Sabo was mentally unfit for command and also incompetent when it came to intelligence work as he had a delusional understanding of how it all worked in practice. He could not stay and be branded a traitor with Sabo so he contacted then Regent Jado Du`rik to explain what was going on and reaffirmed his loyalties to the Federation then requested to rejoin the Federation and go back to active duty in the military.

Sabo soon deserted his duty to the Federation, taking the faction with him that was bought with Federation credits. Robert did not hear from him after that. But soon after Exiled Rangers dissolved and was no more.

The Return

Robert returned to active duty in the Falleen Army at the rank of Lieutenant. At this point the Derra War was beginning and Robert was tasked with training soldiers before their deployment. It was not long before he found himself talking with the FIB Director, Ridar Riggs. Both had been disappointed with Sabo's desertion but knew it was probably for the best. Without the aide of a Deputy Director, Ridar began to rely on Robert for security advice and information regarding people of suspicion or unknown history. Robert would end up working a lot with Ridar, without officially being recognized as an agent of the Bureau. He introduced new security protocols, created a central database of all Falleen active service members including detailed information, and performed weekly communications checks ensuring the safety of the Federation.

Robert enjoyed serving in the Federation however as time went on he felt the leaders were not noticing the work he was doing to better the Federation and ultimately he began to feel alienated from his peers. The Executive court repeatedly denied the FIB Director's recommendation that Robert be transferred officially to the Bureau. However that was only the final straw, Robert had always wished to see higher protocol enforced in the military and certain standards defined and enforced

He had a yearning for order..

The Conspiracy (Work-in-progress)

Later that year Robert was reviewing battle reports from Derra IV and noticed a strike that was issued by the GA forces to bomb a city suspected to be an Imperial stronghold which resulted in the complete destruction of the city. Knowing there were innocent citizens there, Robert spoke with the Deputy Minister of Defence in private. He was told the citizens were going pro-Imperials and became a risk. When Robert asked what they were going to do when the media finds out, the Deputy Minister told Robert not to worry because they would say the IU forces did it and no one would know since there were no survivors. Robert did some digging and discovered there were no confirmed Imperial forces in the city and suspected the GA got rid of it before the Imperials got to it and turned the citizens on the GA forces. Robert was deeply upset, the country he served loyally committing such atrocities and then not even taking responsibility for it had no honor at all and that made Robert angry. Right then Robert had a dilemma. Should he stay silent, and remain loyal as he always has been to a government coalition that uses such dishonest methods to further its agenda, or does he betray those who lied to him and no longer deserves his allegiance.

The Limbo

During the waning days of his service, Robert intercepted low band transmissions from Imperial Territory on his BFF-1 Bulk Freighter "Trembling Wilbury", many of which were speeches made by Lord Seele. Robert was instantly captivated by the message of an ordered and lawful Empire, an Empire ruled by one man for the people and not for his own ambitions. Robert studied Lord Seele's transmissions attentively and became enchanted with the Imperial Executor. One saying that stuck with Robert was at the end of an interview with Lord Seele, his last advice was "Empire above all else", a saying that Robert would eventually live by once he had joined the New Order

The Assistant (Work-in-progress)

While on a training missing with his assistant, Lieutenant Ferguson, Robert discovered Ferguson's datapad on his table while he was away. Robert curious what his assistant had on his calendar, opened up a few pages and by accident discovered a report sent to an unknown Staff Agent in Imperial Intelligence. This report had troop movements, force numbers and ship locations. Unbeknownst to Robert, Ferguson left his datapad unattended with the report inside on purpose as a plan to turn Robert. The young Commander then sighed heavily as Ferguson was a trusted assistant and he knew the man for some time, however his duty came first and he knew what he had to do. Robert approached his assistant and and informed him that he was being placed under arrest for espionage and aiding the enemy and he slapped hand cuffs on him while escorting him to his ship. Robert spent some time interrogating the Lieutenant who resisted even the most horrible interrogation techniques as required by the Federation. Finally he just sat down across from the shackled and battered Lieutenant and he began talking calming to him. Eventually Ferguson began playing on Robert's sense of justice and honor and old him all about the Empire and the ideals of the New Order which Robert had been secretly listening to in his private ship. Ferguson offered Robert a place in the New Order if he would help him escape to Imperial space.

The Escape (Work-in-progress)

Late in Year 14 Robert resigned as Lieutenant Commander of the Falleen Protection Force while aboard his personal ship with Lieutenant Ferguson still in custody. He still didn't trust him and knew it could be an elaborate trap to get him into Imperial space to be detained and interrogated. However he knew Ferguson risked his life doing all of this and he had been listening to pirated Imperial transmissions for weeks, and also that he had longed for a place to provide him with the order and structure his life was missing. So he set his ship into hyper towards Coruscant. A few days later he had arrived at Coruscant and turned himself over to agents of the Imperial Security Bureau stating he wished to defect to Galactic Empire. After being detained in a classified ISB facility for a three day debriefing, he finally joined the Empire he once considered evil.

The Imperial Cone of Shame

Zhaff Orikan first introduced the Imperial Cone of Shame on IRC back in August of 2013 when he jokingly reprimanded Robert on the main channel and thus placed the Imperial Cone of Shame on his head and ordered he kept it on until he had learned his lesson. From then on anyone who committed a shameful act would be eligible for the Cone of shame and only Zhaff has the authority to place and take off the Cone of Shame from an Imperial's cranium.

Robert's first encounter with the cone:

[02:18] <%ISB-BGEN_Orikan> Indeed, Lord General.
[02:18] <SGT_Decca> I don't know if I want ACO. And even if I did that's like at least 5 years down the line depending on future events.
[02:19] <Deryk> Lord General Robert Decca, Bearer of the Cone of Shame. Kinda has a nice ring to it.
[02:19] <%ISB-BGEN_Orikan> I certainly hope you don't go five years without remembering what you did wrong, but that is entirely up to you.

In response Deryk Ysenm posted a picture of a guy inside a cone to which Robert asked if Zhaff could make that his halloween avatar with the title "Imperial Cone of Shame" and thus:
