Biography

Early Life

Dax "Gamma" Rayya was born on Year -9, Day 267, in the city of Theed, To Tali and Maxis Rayya. Dax's family lived on the outskirts of the city. His childhood consisted of nothing special. He did well in school and grew up with his siblings. He had two siblings, A brother named Dante, and a sister named Tali, after her mother. Dax's father, Maxis, worked as a politician in Theed,Dax never showed interest in his fathers business. while his mother Tali ran a small business chain.After school Dax would go over to the nearest store and help out. This was how he made money. He often managed one of the stores during the summer as a summer job, it teached him the responsibility of a job. By the time he was 16 he aspired to run a few of these stores, or even co-owner of the entire business. But around this same time his father wanted him to go to flight school. He thought it could come to use if the family ever needed to move or go on an Off-world vacation. Dax grudgingly went to flight school. But within the first week he loved it. He had a natural tact for flying. All his instructors were impressed for a first time flier. By the end of the flight school he was matching and in a few cases better than his instructors. Taking Flight school changed Dax's outlook on life. Such a vast expanse and he could fly it. The thought alone made dax happy. He went home after the flight school and expressed his interest in pursing a life being a pilot of some sorts. His parents were not that happy, even after he explained how good he was at it his parents disapproved of that life. His mother complained that she needed him in the stores and his dad expressed on how he needed him around the house. Luckily, his siblings were once again there for him. Dante thought it was cool and was proud his little brother was good at such a big thing. With the money he had earned managing the stores he went out and bought some models of ships. He now was obsessed with the beauty of a N-1 and the majestic symbol that was the J-327 and the out right ruggedness of a CR-90 corvette. He told himself he would one day own a ship of his own. After he turned 17 he was done with school, and went out to find a job with ships.

Life before the Empire

In that year before joining the Empire he worked as an apprentice to a trader. He flew the ship and helped moving the good from port to port. He enjoyed it. He missed his family and he wasn't payed a lot of money. But he did enjoy it. The old freighter wasn't quite as nimble as the ship learned to fly in, but it was faster than it looked. While on Courscant, a planet that dax didn't like he was confronted by a recruiter. He never gave the Empire a thought before. He took the flyer he was giving out and just stuffed it into his pocket. After they left Courscant he returned to Naboo since the ship was due for normal refit and repairs. When he arrived he remembered the flyer. He read it over a few times and thought about it some more. How cool would it be to fly a Imperial Destroyer, or the famous TIE fighters. Dax went down to the recruiting office the next morning without his family even knowing. He told them that night over dinner. Surprisingly both his parents were supportive. Tali worried for his life but was overall supporting, Dante was off-world doing his job at the time so he learned later.

Academy & Imperial Life

While in the academy his teachers were impressed with his in-cockpit skills but not out of of the cockpit skills. He was often disrespectful and argued with his superiors. He was not use to the life of obeying orders, he was more used to giving them. This set the tone for his early navy career. Due to his behavior issues he graduated as a Crewman rather than a Flight Corporal. He loved flying his ships, and by now had his own quarters so his ship collection, which had increased in size considerably was moved into his quarters. As he elevated through the Enlisted ranks he learned how to better deal with Navy life. He progressed from a bickering Crewman to a distinguished Sergeant, ultimately to the rank of Ensign. He took a leave of absence in mid-Year 13, forcing him to step down as Group Executive Officer, and has since returned to active duty.

Regard for Rules: Dax always respects rules, but that doesn't mean he likes them, and occasionally he'll break one or two.
Team Spirit: Dax will take it upon himself to improve team spirit. He thinks if the team is happy then they can do their job better. Team spirit is a must, and will always rank high on Dax's list of priorities.
