Samual Johnson is a member of the Imperial Navy. He has witnessed firsthand many great events, including the abdication of Vodo Bonias. Following Vodo's abdication, he vanished from Imperial service for quite some time, and returned to active duty in Year 13.
Family
Samual Johnson's family went missing while traveling to Corellia on a business trip. To this day, the cause of their disappearance has not been determined, and investigations of the family transport's flight plan led to a search along the entire route by several allied Kuati families. The search yielded minimal results. Currently, the accepted belief is that they fell victim to a Rebel attack. The disappearance left Samual as one of the last members of the once very influential Johnson family, as well as its de facto head. Out of respect for Samual's parents, the Kuati government has allowed him to maintain some authority formerly granted to the Johnsons, even though the family's size has shrunk drastically, now owning a very small number of assets. Should he choose to, Samual can have some say in which family leads Kuat, and within Kuati circles he is generally treated with respect by those who are not fellow Family leaders. Young Samual, however, normally chooses not to use the powers granted to him, with his main accepted benefits being in title and his acceptance of the symbols of leadership for both his family and the combined clans. Despite this, he has at times demonstrated an interest in restoring the Johnson family to prominence. Most of the assets he owns is said to belong to the Family, and he continues his search for his kin, who are known to have disappeared from the public eye, but some are suspected to still be alive. Since he is also an Imperial, these searches primarily occur through members of allied families or members of very weak families who in the past pledged loyalty to the Johnson Family in exchange for relief. Despite his continuing influence many Kuati do not see him often as he has both by duty and choice decided to focus on his service to the Galactic Empire, usually not attending any meetings of the Family Leaders, and even when attending normally attending via long range communication such as holonet transceivers. Since his return to active Imperial service, Samual has not seen his Home world of Kuat, nor has he directly spoken to any of his Family's allies or indentured servants.
Nailo
Before Samual took on the leadership of the Johnson family his parents brought in a young man named Nereus Nailo. Under William Johnson he was granted shelter in exchange for service to the family. Upon becoming the family Leader Samual made the rare move of declaring that Nereus would be considered in all ways but name a full member of the Johnson family. However not long after Nereus joined the Galactic Empire he went AWOL. This resulted in an immediate response from Samual Johnson who stated in a speach over holonet comms to the Kuati council that Nailo is discommunicated from the Johnson family. At this time all relations between Nailo and the Johnson family have been terminated.
Imperial Service
Johnson's first assignment out of the Imperial Academy was the 1st Imperial Fleet in his home system of Kuat. He rose rather quickly to the rank of Flight Sergeant. Due to unknown circumstances immediately following the abdication of Vodo Bonias, he transferred from active duty to the reserves. Following his return from the reserves in year 13, and the military reforms that occured in his absence, Johnson was reassigned, his current unit is classified. He has also served as an Archivist for the Imperial Information Service.
