Lieutenant Nikolaus "Niko" Ephranor (Born Year -14, Day 155), is currently serving the Galactic Empire in the Imperial Navy as the Group Commanding Officer of the 7th Group, 6th Imperial Fleet. He also serves as the Director of the Imperial Gaming Commission.

Biography

Nikolaus Ephranor, who informally goes by "Niko," was born the only child to Xavier and Avandari Ephranor in Imperial City, Coruscant on Year -14, Day 155. Xavier, Niko's father, earned a great wealth in the banking industry around Year -25. He met Avandari, a ex-Nabooian politician, in Year -16 while on a business trip to Naboo. They returned to Coruscant later that year, were married, and Niko was born soon thereafter.

The Ephranor family wealth allowed Nikolaus to attend the finest schools in Imperial City. From an early age, his family noticed that he took a strong liking to physics and computer technology. He entered the University of Coruscant in on Year 1 Day 15 and graduated nine years later with a Doctorate in Astrophysical Engineering and a Masters in Computer Science.

As a child, Niko was kept sheltered from the turmoil that was occurring throughout the Galaxy. However, his time away from home while at University showed him that the violence was beginning to spiral out of control. All across the Galaxy, pirates and rebels were spreading chaos. After University, Niko's father hoped that Niko would follow in his footsteps in the banking industry, but Niko decided that his destiny lay elsewhere. It was then that Niko went to the nearest Galactic Military Recruiting station and joined the Imperial Academy.

Imperial Academy

Nikolaus Ephranor entered the Imperial Academy on Year 11 Day 122. Always a great student, he blew away his Professors as he graduated with honors later that day. Niko joined the Imperial Navy as a Crewman in the 7th Imperial Fleet.

7th Imperial Fleet

As a Crewman in the former 7th Imperial Fleet, Niko served under some of the greatest members of the Imperial Navy, including Markus Saretti, currently the Executive Officer of the Imperial Navy. Here, he learned the basics of being a great pilot and serving the Empire.

Nikolaus rose through the ranks quite quickly while with the 7th Fleet. He also made bonds and connections with many other Imperials that would last throughout his career.

7th Group, 6th Imperial Fleet

After the Imperial Navy reform, the former 7th Imperial Fleet became the 7th Group of the 6th Imperial Fleet. There, Niko continued to server under Markus Saretti, eventually becoming the Group Executive Officer. Upon the transfer out of the Imperial Navy of the then Commander Miguel Arandano, Niko was assigned as the Group Commanding Officer of the 7th Group.
