Graeda L'Annan is a Lieutenant Colonel serving the Galactic Empire in the Imperial Army. She currently holds the position of Army Executive Officer and a member of Army High Command while dually serving as the Commanding Officer of the Second Imperial Legion, The Hellhounds. L'Annan also works for the Coalition of Progress as the Director of Imperial Geographic.

Biography

"Grey," as she is known by many of her friends, is from the city of Sengir on Crollia where her father, mother and sister still reside. Her mother, Ysilwen, is a highly sought after cloth merchant. Her father, Nevin is the lead archeologist and discoverer of the Mwanamutapas ruins in Crollia Central. She also has a younger sister, Mraz who is an accomplished musician. On Crollia, she spent much of her early years watching the Imperial builders turn Crollia into a viable community. Later, inspired by the Imperial dedication and order, she enrolled in the Imperial Academy and is presently serving the Galactic Empire in the Imperial Army.

Early Years

L`Annan attended the Crollian Academy of Dance and Music in Sengir with her sister Mraz under the tutelage of the phenomenal matron, Cindal Harbringer. During her work as a dancer at the cantina Sandfury in Sengir, she was accosted by an alien patron. Had the menace not been killed by a passing Imperial officer, L`Annan may not have survived the scrap unharmed. This incident prompted L`Annan to seek skills in self defense and she paid most of her savings to become the honored pupil of Xargon Dagos, an accomplished master of Teräs Käsi. L`Annan to this day remains a practitioner of Teräs Käsi.

A matter with L`Annan's sister found her family in a situation in which they could easily have been on the wrong side of Imperial law. To avoid this, L`Annan spent two years as an indentured servant to the Crollian territorial gang, the Sand Demons, learning many of her shadier skills with them. As soon as her time was up, making her family safe, L`Annan followed her personal need to use her skills for the service of the Empire that she respects immensely.

The Galactic Empire

After graduating from Imperial Army Training Centre on Carida, L'Annan entered the Galactic Empire. She was placed into service with the Imperial Army's Second Imperial Legion, the Hellhounds.

From that point on, she immediately began proving herself in the ranks, eventually earning the 'Army Activty Medal' and becoming the first person (and so far only) to be awarded the prestigious 'Army Medal of Order' for demonstrating the ability to preserve the order, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Imperial Army. In the Second she served under CO Mark Ein Arton and XO Deric Adams and met several other Legion members such as Rupert Bardo, Zenchi Senkusha and Marcus Aurelius. She was not with the Hellhounds for long when the Army when through a restructure and she was placed into the First Imperial Legion, The Immortals. She served under Arbellason Saalar and Wolfgang Rasolam. Rasolam eventually went AWOL and L'Annan started filling his role. After demonstrating to her commanding officer and Army High Command that she was worthy of such a rank, L`Annan was promoted to Sergeant Major and given the position of First Brigade Executive Officer. The same day she was also awarded the Army Medal of Order. She served with many fine army men and women, among them Ralkata Tyrran, who filled her position when she left The Immortals.

The CO of the Second Legion, Zenchi Senkusha was arrested on the grounds of treason and L'Annan was given her first command. Back in the Hellhounds, this time as Commanding Officer, L'Annan oversaw the Legion's recovery necessary after the arrest of the traitorous soldiers, Zenchi Senkusha, Galven Corse and Alsten Jorel. Under her command the Hellhounds morale was improved and they earned the August 2008 'Legion of the Month' award in her first month of command. They repeated the performance again in September 2008.

L'Annan was in the first class of the Imperial School of Officer and Command Studies and became its first graduating student.

At the start of Year 10 the Army Commanding officer, Alan Steel retired. Bacara Kex became the new ACO and selected L'Annan as his Executive Officer. L'Annan retained her other command posts while in this position. From Year 10 Day 66 (February 7, 2009) through Year 10 Day 78 (February 19, 2009) she temporarily held the position of Army Commanding Officer.

Imperial Academy Tutor

On Year 9 Day 104 , L`Annan was accepted as a professor at the Imperial Academy by the Dean, Rann Van. She served as the only female professor and one of only two Imperial Army members. L`Annan retired from her post at the Academy at the start of year 10 to better focus on her additional duties in the Assault Force and as Director of Imperial Geographic.

On Year 9 Day 249, L`Annan was made Director of Imperial Geographic by Azrahk Raleep. The program was absorbed into COMPNOR as was the rest of the Sub-Ministry of Culture under the newly named Coalition for Progress.
