History
Commanding Officers
Adam Diggins
Commodore Adam Diggins was the fleets first Fleet Commanding Officer. During his command the fleet was designed to be a special operations fleet and had only a very small amount of members, who had served with Diggins the 3rd Imperial Fleet before the reform. The fleet started taking part in the Imperial activies by supporting the construction of the tax planet Adkinien. Commodore Diggins however was more and more occupied by building his own faction and soon left the fleet and active duty behind, leaving Commander Trilac as FXO and ranking officer.
Ramos Rob
On Year 8 Day 311 Vice Admiral Rob was appointed as the new FCO while Commander Trilac remained his XO. The fleet members still involved with Adkinien were withdrawn from the operation and the fleet startet it's biggest campaign. Operation Burning Heart took place at Republica - the New Republic's core system and was preceded by extensive scans of the area. While the mission was running Captain Sacha joined the fleet and Vice Admiral Rob returned to his duties as NXO, satisfied with Commander Trilac's leadership in the operation.
Katar Trilac
Commander Trilac completed Operation Burning Heart with Prijo Sacha as his FXO and brought the fleet back to Kuat. The fleet did various smaller operations while a part always stayed behind to protect the fleet's home. These included scenarios on the boards and other such activities to promote strategic thinking and activity. A short time after he had replaced Vice Admiral Rob as FCO, Trilac was forced to step down to the reserves and the Fleet Command job became vacant. Katar Trilac introduced Daniel Ascarion as Fleet Chief of Staff and Gredek Dregoth as Fleet Morale Officer during his time as FCO.
Hack Skice
The void in command that was left when Commander Trilac departed for the reserves left the fleet in an unorganized state. Commodore Skice was appointed as the new FCO and had a difficult task before him to bring activity back to the fleet's members. Several smaller operations where performed while the fleet still stayed at Kuat. Then the fleet moved it's base to Carida, where the fleet city (Operation Architect) was built. There had been plans for a fleet city since the days of Ramos Rob, but they were brought to life with Hack Skice as Commanding Officer. In these days the fleet changed from sleepy to hyper active what finally resulted in being awarded with the Fleet of the Month ribbon in August of Year 9. After Captain Sacha left the fleet, Lieutenant Tybo took his place as FXO.
On Year 9 Day 344, Lieutenant Commander Tybo received command of his own fleet, and the position of Executive Officer was given to Daniel Ascarion, former Fleet Chief of Staff. Gredek Dregoth replaced Ascarion as Chief of Staff. This day the fleet won the Fleet of the Month ribbon for the second time.
The Merge
When the Galactic Empire and New Imperial Order remerged and the NIO personell had to be integrated in the fleet structure, many of the pilots of the 6ths fleet were transferred to other units. The fleet's headquarter was formally moved to the Corporate Sector and the transport of fleet assets to their new location kept the fleet busy for quite a while.
