Biography

Early Life

Born on Coruscant on Y-10 D234 to Ildarus Olarum and his wife Mileena, Naron lived a life of a middle class family on the planet. His parents were low ranking government civil servants; working hard and loyally, they ensured Naron had his needs and desires met. But as a child, Naron enjoyed child-like persuits though even from a young age, he loved space travel. He lived a happy childhood and young life, venturing both to the lower levels of Coruscant and the upper levels, knowing the full spectrum of the planets society. As a child, he dreampt of one day flying a merchant vessel from planet to planet and establishing a personal trade Empire, a dream his parents fostered, though they strove to make the young Naron loyal to the Empire. Given his desires, his parents support, and their jobs, they were able to take trips to other planets frequently, and by the age of 10, Naron had seen many of the Core and Colony worlds, and in Y1, his family was preparing for another trip; to Corellia.

The Corellian Trip and its Aftermath

The family departed for Corellia on Y1 D165 as planned. Arriving shortly, the trip proceeded as planned, everything was peaceful and they toured the planet. This was their second trip to the planet, and with Naron now at the age of 11, the family felt it appropriate to expand their trip to more destinations on the planet. It was while on a public tour of a Corellia Naval Academy for local students on Y1 D185, late in their trip as they were preparing to return home, that the family managed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Terrorists had infiltrated the academy and blew up major portions of it, leaving behind death, destruction, and grafiti of local dissidant groups. Both Ildarus and Mileena, along with many others, perished that day. But 11 year old Naron had survived the blast, burried in the rubble flanked by the dead bodies of his parents whom had sacrificed their own lives to shelter him when the explosions began. It took 2 days for him to be rescued, but he was; weak, exhausted, and mentally damaged from the expeirenced. He was kept on Corellia for some time by local authorities, not as a suspect, but so they could provide grief counselling to help him understand what happened, ensure he could properly process his emotions despite the traumatic experience, and await the arrival of family he would be living with now.

A few weeks after the incident, his uncle arrived, an Imperial Naval captain who would provide for Naron untill Naron himself entered the academy. Of course, the mans service meant that providing was in the form of a home on Coruscant, money to support him, and staff to take care of Naron and raise him on the captains behalf. The incident left Naron forever scarred. He hated lawlessness, rebels, dissenters, malcontents, and criminals. He craved order, stability, law, and peace. And by virtue of this, as he grew, he came to grow more and more loyal to the Empire, something his uncle, the Imperial captain, fostered and helped him focus.

Life in the Academy

Naron did not join the academy as soon as he was eligable like many expected him to, and like many others did. Instead, he spent a few years working in the private sector on Coruscant to establish some savings for himself first. Then at the age of 22, on Y12 D236, only two days after his twenty second birthday, he enlisted in the academy.

Unfortunately for Naron, his obsession with pushing himself as hard as he could, achieving as much as he could, as fast as he could, meant he had no social life in the academy. He made use of the self-directed learning structure of the academy to his advantage, rushing through the courses quickly. Very quickly, he finished all his courses, far quicker than many who went through the academy. Yet still, he had not allowed him a social life, but given his goals, it paid off. He graduated the academy with honors, and was promoted to Flight Corporal and assigned to the Navy.

Life in the Navy

Once he had graduated from the Academy, he was assigned to the navy and assigned a posting almost immediately. But even before he arrived, he was already studying, already persuing additional education to aid him in his career and his advancement within the Empire. He wanted to be more than a fighter pilot, he wanted to be one of the many individuals who had a very important hand in providing security for the galaxy, and he had no intent to rest untill he achieved it.

Personality

Naron is an odd individual. On one hand, he is fanaticaly loyal to the Empire and its ideals. He is the poster boy for dedication, excellence, and ambition with a desire to serve. But on the other hand, his social skills are dramaticly lacking, extreemly warped due to his under-valuing social interaction unless it fits in with his focus on service. While he is most likely to be the sort of naval officer who never goes off duty, he is also likely, when off duty, to offend and alienate others, and to isolate himself. To him, this is all the more reason he should remain ever vigilant, always on duty, and always ready to serve the Empire.
