Description

Relentless, is a remarkable oil painting of a border skirmish between Imperial Army personnel in snowtrooper gear and local smugglers (not pictured). The Imperial Army colonel, standing fearless and motioning forward, leading his brigade in a counterattack against smugglers who were contesting imperial control of the outpost.

History

While the artist is unknown, it is believed to be painted by an Imperial Trooper who had taken part in a number of skirmishes with pirates and smugglers on the ice words of the Corporate Sector. Based on close examination of the painting by experts, the paints used in this piece are believed to have come from the Meridian Sector, and that the painting itself was believed to have been done in Year Seven. After passing hands between numerous Imperial Officers in the sector, It was bought by a private firm on behalf of a private collector.

It is one of twelve pieces of the "Viciar Collection", owned by Crueya Vandron and currently lent to and on display at the Imperial Archives Gallery on Coruscant.
