Arthur Smith (born Year -2, Day 18), is an Anaxian male, currently stationed in the Amber Region as a Junior Superintendent. A former bookkeeper and storeman at a family owned-business, Arthur Smith joined the ranks of the Galactic Empire following his sisters death during The War for the Republic.

Biography

Early Life

Arthur Smith (born Year -2, Day 18) was born on Anaxes in a small city on the north-side of the planet's only ocean, just east of the famous Cherokee Starport. His mother Ceri, an exiled Hapan noblewoman and his father, Owain, a retired officer from the Anaxian Merchant Navy, owned a respectably sized courier company that operated across the planet's surface.

The middle child, Arthur spent most of his childhood playing second fiddle to his older brother Lancel, a child prodigy by all accounts, who was heir to their parents company and fortune. An inquisitive, quiet and reclusive child, Arthur lacked the extroverted charisma of both his siblings and spent most of his time with his grandfather learning the ins and outs of the family business. Arthur completed his mandatory tenure as a deckhand of a vessel in the Anaxian Merchant Navy once he turned sixteen. Viewed by many as an anachronism, his time working on the old vessels gave Arthur a great appreciation for simple technology and the camaraderie that is developed between individuals who work in small, tight-knit teams.

Once his time in the AMN ended he attended the local Guild College on Anaxes studying Commerce and Business Administration, once he graduated Arthur set off travelling the core with his girlfriend Iella, as per the custom for graduates of the Guild. While he was away he found out that his younger sister, who had just turned eighteen, had signed up for the Imperial Army and shipped out to the Imperial Academy on nearby Prakith.

A mundane, simple, yet fulfilling period of his life followed, with Arthur proceeding to work in the family business as a bookkeeper. Settling down early and starting a family with his now wife, Iella. Lancel Smith was awarded a contract to manufacture scopes for IM22T4 blasters in late Y19 and Arthur transferred across to assist with running the business when demand skyrocketed during The War for the Republic. It was during the dying days of the war when his sister Elin, who was serving as part of the security detail for Governor Moon, was butchered by Zann forces. With the war coming to an end and demand for components slowing down Arthur soon found his role in both companies as being redundant, and because of this he made the decision to follow his late sister’s footsteps and enlist.

The AMV Gracitania.

AMV Gracitania

The AMV Gracitania is now Arthur's personal flagship. A Pelta-class Frigate thats construction was a joint venture between the Anaxes Government and Smith & Co Haulage, the vessel was originally intended to be utilised by Anaxes militia for use in emergency situations. Due to a change in local government the project was placed on an indefinite pause with the new government shifting away from Escort Frigates and towards smaller, auxiliary orientated corvettes with the intention to supplement Imperial Navy forces. After sitting idle for four years, the contract for the Pelta was bought out by a business conglomerate and works began to finish the ship. Once it was completed ownership of the ship was placed under a trust governed by Owain Smith. It was at this point that Arthur was appointed captain and de-facto owner of the ship, manned by retired veterans and used as a training vessell for young Anaxians.

The CPP Anatania.

CPP Anatania

The CPP Anatania is a customised Raider-class Missile Corvette that was gifted to Arthur by the Dean of the Guild College following his graduation, christened by Thomas Cherokee himself, the Anatania is a Mecrosa custom build that has a fighter complement of fourteen Toscan 8-Q Starfighters. The Anatania and its fighters are also used by the Anaxian Merchant Navy for training purposes.
