From the Ashes, also known as "The Search for Veynom," was a famous Combine-wide Red Scenario and an important event in galactic history that began on Year 2 Day 239. Although similar to earlier message board RPGs, this scenario directly effected the Combine database. For the first time, players were required to synchronize their RPG activities with the ICIS and the HoloCom, the two downloadable gameplay clients utilized by the simulation. Many notable events occurred during this scenario such as the merger between The Core and the Dark Empire on Year 3 Day 94. The official Galactic Empire, led by Emperor Charon, received the Imperial Escort Carrier datacard. Initially, either the Galactic Empire or the Dark Empire was supposed to receive the Death Star. Fortunately for some, this did not occur.
