Early Life

Born in Tatooine to a simple family, Joao found himself helping in his parents’ shop from an early age. The basic goods they sold, while not luxurious, were sturdy and dependable, so the place was always full.

Living on a happy family meant the world to him. While being quiet, Joao was regarded as an intelligent and promising boy by his parents and peers. When Verek was not supervising the shop, he made sure that the boy learned the basic skills to inherit the business, someday.

When The Empire was estabilished, the Apa were relieved. Conflict was over and peace could be reestabilished. If only.

One day, after seeing the recruitment posters on Tattoine, Joao set his eyes on an AT-AT. It was the beginning of a passion that would guide his future.

Unfortunately, the Rebellion took it’s price ont the Apa family. On Y10D50, the Apa store was victim of a terrorist bombing. Emylia and Verek were killed, as were most of the customers present at the moment. Joao was making a supply run and returned to find the dead bodies of his loving family. Disgruntled with the planet and filled with hatred and grief, he took shelter on a friend while gathering the resources and the basic skills to join the rightful government of the galaxy.

Imperial Life

Imperial Academy

Joining the Academy, Apa realized that he was not alone, anymore. The Imperials became his family while he was preparing to join the Army. During his training, he fulfilled his teenage dream of piloting an AT-AT, showing a lot of skill. Clearly, he was meant to joing the Armoured Corps of the Army.

He graduated the Academy without honors in Y10D153.

Imperial Army

Joining the First Legion, he proved himself skilled with vehicles and a very dependable asset to his comrades, delivering strategical blasts with his E-11 rifle and showing no mercy to the enemies of order and justice.

His obligations, from simple tasks like helping fellow troopers in patrol simulations to aiding in building and mining operations, granted him a sense of fulfillment and the recognition of the superiors. He rose through the ranks with dedication and diligence.

With the reorganization of the legions into smaller brigades, Joao was appointed briefly as the 6th Brigade CO. However, affected with the RL disease, he couldn’t really assume the responsibility. It wouldn’t be the first time that the disease would render him out of combat.

The disease striked him twice. On Y14D74 he was stricken, interrupting his duties for more than a year. Returning to the 3rd Legion, he resumed the activities briefly, including during an operation to take back a planet on the Weemell system. The second time, it came back way worse, slipping him in a coma that lasted from Y15D294 to Y17D35.

Recovering from the disease, Apa immediately returned to the Army, this time, to help the 2nd Legion in assuring that no children will have to suffer the same pain as he did

Wordly possessions

Dedicating his adult life to the extinction of scum, Apa didn’t really spent all his money in women and fast ships. Between the battlefields and the medical centers, he amassed a small mercenary taskforce, a medical frigate ( “Just in case the damn disease gets back again!”), a small fighter for transportation and a garage.

For a safehouse and base of personal operations, he acquired a Trading Station on Y17.
