My name is Kiyal Elyk. I was born in a small mining colony on the planet known as Apatros. I never really met my parents. I was told that my dad died in a mining accident when i was 2, And nobody really seemed to know anything about my mother. I grew up on Apatros, and as soon as I was deemed old enough, at age 11,  I was put to work. I worked in the mines 6 days a week, from sunrise to sunset. After 8 years of back-breaking labor for little pay, I became fed up with the mining work. So instead of blowing all of my credits each time i got paid, I began saving my credits for 3 more years. I didn't know where I was going to go, but i knew that i needed to get off of that desolate rock. Stories had been reaching the mining colony about the Galactic Empire, and their expansion across the universe. The Empire seemed like a safe haven to me after those final three years on Apatros. When the time came, I used the credits I had been saving to buy my way off that planet. I knew what I wanted. I wanted to make a name for myself. And what better way to do that than to become an Imperial soldier? Needless to say, before I knew it, I was on the next shuttle to the Imperial Academy, determined to get a fresh start, and to be the best recruit of them all. Failure was not an option.

Biography
