Childhood

"Being a child is not easy. It's not any easier when you don't know your origin. Asking myself the question "Who am I?" is futile."

Lahna Khar was born at Coruscant to his Coruscanti mother Keyla Khar. Khar's father remains unknown, but some rumours has told that his father is a Muun. Rumours also say that Keyla was traveling to Dantooine but her corrupted spacedriver drove her to Muunilinst. According to rumours, Keyla was carrying some money with her while going to Dantooine. In the Muunilinst Keyla were kept for months. No one knows what happened but almost year later she was set free. Keyla travelled back to Coruscant.

On -Y8 D118 Lahna borned at Coruscant. His mother kept care of him but there were never father-figure for Khar. With bodyshapes Khar doesn't look like a Muun. He is more likely a coruscanti and all the records says also the same; coruscanti. He and his mother lived in Coruscant's Fobosi District. There Khar went to the University of Coruscant and passed it. After passing the University he moved from Fobosi District to Financial District. He had financial insight and he studied much finances and invested. But his investments failed. He lost money and it also affected to his studies. He failed them and tried another life.

The Hutt Cartel

"It's just a game. Make your move and prepare for a counter-attack."

Khar had had money problems after he turned 16. He started to work to earn some money and he succeeded in it pretty well earning a lot of money with three job at the same time. The company in which he was working for, discovered his financial talents and Khar started to work only for that company. He gained pretty fast a good position. His goal was not to be a good salesman or financial person, but to collect enough money for a ship.

For Khar it was hard to find much money in such a short time. At one night he was at the bar. Same time a representative of the Hutt Cartel was holding a speech. Inexperienced and bored Khar found the speech very interesting and contacted the representative right after he had ended his recruitment speech. Khar was accepted to the Hutt Cartel. Few days later Khar left the Coruscant with few other Hutt Cartel's newest recruits. Their heading was Toydaria. There Khar went through a short training to become a merchant and smuggler. Khar knew The Cartel's notoriety but kept this new lifestyle as a challenge. He dreamed of becoming a respected merchant and smuggler flying across the galaxy.

Khar introduced himself with many other fellows who he worked with. Chester Adras, Ethea Sekel, Maxcy Kahn, just to mention most important of them. They were close merchants together and all humans. They were all gathered from Coruscant. While flying to Toydaria, Khar started to know them better and better. Chester Adras was a man of kindness. He was sometimes selfish but mostly the best, at least for Khar. Ethea Sekel was a young woman same age as Khar. She had joined the Cartel because of fear of being killed in the underworld of Coruscant. Though they were friends, Khar failed to find out how she managed to live in Coruscant's Underworld. Maxcy Kahn, called Max, was a wealthy and rich boy. He high-valued his honor. Anyone to insult him had troubles with him. With them Khar became friends. They did everything together from training to working.

Two Shots, One Too Much

"Sometimes the pain comes from inside and there's no cure for that."

Training was successful for all four friends. They were placed to act as a group to secure each others. As they knew each others very well, it was a wise move from the Cartel. First missions for Khar and his team were just transporting items from place to another. The team earned money quick and soon they all were well-equipped. Ship was upgraded to be faster. One of their usual stop-by-planets was Mandallia at Mandalore. Khar noticed that Chester looked like having more activities than he supposed to have. This made Khar to ponder his best friend's situation but he decided to stay away as long as he don't have any proofs.

In the end of the year 9 the group had a transport mission to Alderaan. Some of the areas criminal leagues had ordered some weapons. Reason for their purchase was unclear but it wasn't their job to question it. Smuggling weapons and medical supplies was easy. The criminal leagues had provided them some IDs and passwords to get through the shield. While landing, they saw how some cloaked men stood on the platform. They were the buyers. Spaceport inspector checked their transport boxes which were fake but inspector believed that there were just materials for decorations. The trade was made after inspector left and the criminals disappeared with the boxes of weapons.

Khar and his team had to wait for ship's refueling. During that time they went to spaceport lounge. Chester had to go buy something from a store near them but Khar saw how a cloaked person joined Chester outside the spaceport. Khar, Max and Ethea had a drinks and talked about everything that came to mind. When Chester returned he said that they should leave. He was probably followed and Khar was correct. The Alderaanian militia had entered the lounge rifles ready. Khar's team had their sidearms but gunfight wasn't expected. They left quietly but they were noticed and militia followed them outside to city.

The team ran and militia ran after them. Khar had no idea why but he thought that Chester must have had something to do with this. They tried to hide but surveillance of the Alderaan was too good and where ever they went, militia ran after them. Finally they managed to hide to a little, abandoned house. They took a deep breath and waited for several hours. No words. Just thoughts. Scary thoughts.

As the sky and city turned more darker, they left. Training of the Cartel had provided some training of sneaking. They used dark spots as their disguise when they saw surveillance cameras or militia guarding. They wanted to make their way to the ship. Without incidents they made it to the spaceport. They rounded the spaceport building and sneaked to terminal area where the ships were held. There were mechanics and engineers but also few guards. So far they weren't noticed. They hided behind the large pile of boxes. From nowhere came a shot that hitted Max on right side of his chest. Khar looked where it came. A guardtower stood pretty far but a sniper had seen them. Now he turned on the large light to light their position. Max was too badly injured so he was carried and they ran to the ship. It wasn't far. The militia had arrived and the sniper made another shot from distant. After all, they made it and left Alderaan.

Maxcy Kahn was injured too badly. Next stoppage to somewhere far would have taken too long so Max died while they were in the hyperspace. Khar blamed Chester of his death. After that Khar found out Chester's dark secret: he was trading with the blacklisted person from the Cartel's list. Khar didn't reveal this secret to the Cartel for years.

Dark Times

"Wealth blinds as much as a knife into the eyes."

After arriving back to Toydaria, Khar had a ceremony for Max. Khar left his resignation just with a note sent to the leader of the Cartel. Leaving the Cartel and the Hutt Space was hard for Khar. He had started to love Ethea Sekel. But he couldn't take her with him. She wanted to carry on with the Cartel. Khar was still anxious to Chester and he left without saying farewells.

Khar had some property at Dantooine where he settled. With a big backyard and two story-high house with a balcony he enjoyed of his time. One night late in the year 10, Khar was standing on the balcony looking outside. Someone was there, Khar knew it. He met Chester who had climbed to balcony. Khar had earlier sent a message to the Cartel that he had some details about Chester who was appointed to be in the little council of smuggling. Now Chester wanted to silence Khar.

Chester: "Look, there's no need to... lie it for me!" (his voice brakes down) "You... My wife... You cannot be that cruel Lahn!"

Khar: "World is not the same anymore. The people you used to know are no more! I'm not on your side this time. I have helped you in many ways many times. My life is ahead, yours is over. You leave me no choice. I don't want to end up down with you. You killed Max, Chester!"

Chester: "No... You were betrayed."

Khar: "By you."

A fight followed the conversation. Khar managed to get Chester down from his balcony and since then he didn't hear a word about him. In the next day he sent anonymously a message to the Cartel about Chester and started to plan his future.

Joining the Empire

"Respect. Honor. Duty."

During his stay at Dantooine, Khar adapted Max's personality for honor. He wanted no more be a smuggler driving across the galaxy jinking hostile blaster fires. It was too risky and Khar wanted to save his own neck. Khar traveled back to Coruscant early in the year 12. He had sold his property at Dantooine and rent an apartment from Coruscant. It was said that the district of Coruscant in which he was now living, was one of the safest districts at Coruscant.

Khar did volunteer job randomly to different companies, but never signed an official papers. He kept his voice down without drawing an attention. He still had some fears about the Cartel. What if they will come and take him?

One day he saw a poster of the Galactic Empire on the wall and he found it interesting. Life in Coruscant was boring for him. It had the same routine from day to day and times back in the Cartel reminded Khar of adventure. Khar contacted the Galactic Empire and joined them. Future in the Empire... It will not ruin his life.

The Imperial Academy

"What you're about to learn will remain with you until death claims you. Carry these skills with pride and use them as your weapon as you face your enemy on the field."

Khar joined the Imperial Academy at Coruscant on day 137 in year 12. Training grounds were various from buildings and classes to outdoors and different tracks. He belonged to a training group prepared by Rik Zoidic. Training lasted for a week. Khar was exhausted after the hard week, but he knew he had gained strength and he was physically in good shape. Khar was disappointed when he passed the Imperial Academy only with 88%. As he was awarded with the IABG ribbon, he promised to himself that he will not let that percentage to hold he moving on to be one of the greatest pilots in the Galactic history.

Life in the Empire

"Everything has a purpose. Time... That's all I have."

Khar passed the Imperial Academy, but without Honors. After graduation, 20-year-old Khar was selected to Imperial Navy. He was placed to a Fleet that has been classified for now. For start, Khar was usually training to control fighters.

In the year 13, on day 319 Khar was announced to take a place of 3rd Imperial Fleet's 4th Group Executive Officer.
