Despite being raised around the influences of the Galactic Empire, Ngo had never once considered taking up a career within the Empire until she was faced with a peculiar case of unemployment. Prior to her decision to join the Galactic Empire with [[Robert Reynolds]], who joined almost two years before her, she had maintained a stable career as a waitress at a popular diner in Coronet that provided her with a steady source of income for her and her family for nearly six years until she was suddenly replaced by a WA-7 droid; several WA-7 droids. Ngo struggled to find work for several months and was soon forced to withdraw from the medical research and development program at her local university after being unable to pay her tuition. Frustrated by the constant rejection, she returned to the diner she had worked at and spoke to the owner in hopes of getting her job back only to discover that he was paid by a growing production company, whose intent was to cut off one of the sources on income that kept her father’s business afloat, to fire her and that the other companies she tried to find work at was bribed by the same company to not hire her. Disheartened by the news and the realization of her chances of getting a job were slim to none and that her family’s business would not survive on what little her father and brothers made, Ngo went to Reynolds, who later suggested that she join the Galactic Empire with her after hearing the news.

Seren Ngo is presently an Ensign serving the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire, and currently holds the positions of Operations Adjutant within her Fleet, Graphics Assistant for the Imperial Art Team, and Junior Training Officer for the Imperial Academy.

Born and raised in the metropolitan city of Coronet, Corellia for the majority of her life, Ngo had never stepped foot off of Corellia prior to her service in the Galactic Empire. Spending most of her early life attending school and working part-time as a waitress to help support her family and their small repair business, her attention was focused on one thing and one thing only: survival. Her family accepted Robert Reynolds into their household after discovering that he was recovering from a period of instability and during the time he stayed before he left to join the Galactic Empire, they both shared romantic feelings that neither party acted on.

Having been replaced by a WA-7 droid as a waitress shortly after the departure of her brothers from Corellia, Ngo struggled to find work to help support her family for several months before Reynolds suggested that she join the Empire with him. Working closely beside him as she ventured further and further away from her homeworld for the first time, Ngo drowned herself in her work to keep her thoughts from the increasing loneliness she felt in space. She was several months into a relationship with Johnny Sasaki when she met Squall Tigroe, a man who captivated her with ease, and after sorting out her feelings, she left Sasaki and married Tigroe.

Prior to her decision to join the Galactic Empire with Robert Reynolds, Ngo had maintained a stable career as a waitress at a small but surprisingly popular diner called “The Glimmering Jewel”, or “The Jewel” for short, in the Treasure Ship Row in Coronet. For nearly six years, the Jewel had provided her with a small but steady source of income that helped her and her family make ends meet until she was suddenly replaced by a WA-7
