Pre-Service History

Born the middle child to a poor family on the countryside of Uviuy Exen, Gabriel Buzzard's family practised a rural trade, farming what little they could to scrape by. Gabriel took an interest in tools and machinery, learning from his parents how to fix and maintain many of the farm's more complex tools. What little free time he had he spent in the wilds, hunting game to supplement their meagre diet. Samael was content but competent with the workings of the farm, and uncomfortable with leaving it. Jahovus was always rather brash, the most confident of the trio, often getting into trouble with the neighbours and leaving unannounced. However, Jahovus was the one who taught Gabriel how to hunt. Unfortunately, droughts, pests, as well as Uviuy Exen's overall poor level of technology left many struggling until the planet was brought into the fold of the Galactic Empire.

During integration of the planet, Gabriel's father was killed when rebel sympathizers mistook the Buzzard family's barn as a hidden Empire arms warehouse. Shattered and grieving by the wrongful death of his parent, Gabriel left his homestead to travel to the planetary capital, namely the COMPNOR government house recruitment centre, thoughts of avenging his father keeping his spirit warm. Saying his goodbyes to his family and leaving his mother in the care of his brothers, Gabriel left aboard a shuttle bound for Prakith's Imperial Academy.

Service to the Empire

On year 17, day 127, Gabriel Buzzard was given the rank of Recruit and began basic training on Prakith, under the direction of Lieutenant Junior Grade Kal Eysar. On Year 17 Day 133, He graduated with honours, taking his place in the Imperial Army with the rank of Second Lieutenant.
