Jordinius Tyvaar (Born Year -8, Day 292, 23:45 CGT) is a human Ensign serving with the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire.

Early Life

Prince Jordinius of House Tyvaar was born traditionally in the Adamant Room of the Imperial Palace on Rhyaa to Styvaan Tyvaar and Jualia var Scythaar. He had all the features of his father, save for his eyes. He bore the distinct green-gold irises that House var Scythaar was famous for, among other things. The Prince's birth came at a time when the Throne was at risk of civil war based on his father's questionable activities considering his mother. Jordinius was the first Prince of House Tyvaar to be brought directly from the Adamant Room to the Grand Balcony to be shown to the people. Not even Crown Prince Voohran was given such an honor. The broadcast reached a record-breaking 4.6 trillion viewers on the Rhyaa News Network.

Growing up a Prince, he was held to a strict upbringing seen to by his father personally. Though the King had very little interaction with his fifth son, he ensured that tradition was upheld. Tutors from several galactic schools were hired and brought to Rhyaa to administer incredibly rigorous courses and exams. At age 9, Jordinius developed an intense case of insomnia that saw a brief four month break in his studies, much to the disgust of his father, who refused to allow him at court for the duration of his break. Eventually allowed back, the Prince was not allowed to sit in his father's presence for two years.

Queen Jualia, the Prince's mother, is not recorded as having much interaction with her children for the early part of their lives. Whether this is by tradition of the King's command, is unknown. Jualaia only appeared with Jordinius while holding him the planetary announcement, and a few times whilst in the capital. Sources are unreliable at best, very few are permitted access to the Imperial Palace on the Reikforr river.

Upon his thirteenth birthday, a lavish party was held in which the Prince was seen in public for the first time in a few years. Rumors of his death had spread throughout the planet suggesting that the King was harboring a deep and vengeful temper following his daughter's death in childbirth. The party, which was not only a chance for nobles to curry favor with their liege Lord and his family, was also a chance for those wishing an alliance with House Tyvaar to make themselves known. In a rare event, 300 tickets were raffled to random citizens of Rhyaa. Not much else is known about the party, though nearly every moment since then the Prince has been noted with a sword on his hip.

Little is known about his teenage years, as most records and public recreations have been removed and seemingly vanished. Reasons for this lack of information are, currently, unknown. Several petitions, initiatives, and requests of the King were sponsored by Jordinius, effectively ensuring they'd be in the least considered by his father.

Following in the footsteps of many kinsman of old, as a less-crucial son, the Prince sought a Governorship on one of the planet's many continents, but instead chose to traverse the stars instead. Eventually, after two years of wandering and aligning with various factions, Jordinius enlisted with the Galactic Empire and has successfully entered the Emperor's service.

General Information

Prince Jordinius of House Tyvaar was born to King Styvan VI following a series of domestic disputes with his first wife and Queen of Rhyaa, Jualia var Scythaar. Having been caught whilst acting unfaithful, the King had smoothed over relations with the Queen's family, who at the time, headed the largest Trade faction occupying Rhyaa. Displeasing said faction could have arguably plunged the planet into civil war while abdication was pressed for, ceding the throne to Jordinius' older brother Voohran, leaving a council in place that would serve the Traders' interests rather than the throne's. The birth of a legitimate Prince for the first time in 5 years seemed to bring hostilities to end for the time being, as King Styvan had a habit of focusing on one lover at a time. Many of Rhyaa's political analysts and skeptics still debate whether the King's actions or threats of legislation that would effectively neuter the Traders really brought the matter to rest.

Civil War, nonetheless, came in the form of a proxy war fought on several of Rhyaa's moons, ultimately resulting in both the dismantling of all private mercantile factions, as well as the extermination of House var Scythaar save for two boys and the King's wife. This conflict came to be known as the "Shadow Trades" to most. Officially, however, such skirmishes were referred to in passing as mere "defensive actions against seditious forces who sought the downfall of House Tyvaar." All history books on Rhyaa are dictated directly from the Throne and its Information Ministry. A new volume of books were printed and released following the conclusion of the war.

Coming in at number 5 of 6 legitimate Princes, the other two already discredited and forced to a life of poverty, Jordinius had very little to look forward to when he came of age. Largely left to his own devices after infancy, in the care of two Knights and a nanny, spending most of his time traveling his home-world while his parents concentrated on more matters of state.
