Character Overview

Apprenticed as a trader to a Givin, Belloc, at the age of 11 standard years, Nok spent another 10 years with Belloc, trading is not the only thing he taught me. Belloc had an illegal advanced Military Flight Simulator stashed in one of the staterooms and that simulator was Nok’s favorite off-duty playground. Within an hour or two notice, the droids could reconfigure it to be the cockpit of any one of dozens of known fighters or frigate/freighters.

With my own ship I will become a great trader, but trading is not the only thing on my mind. I have begun designing entire lines of 'modifications' for ship and droids that would improve my marketing ability's. Now I just need to collect the credits to start my plans in action. I earned my name after 're-manufacturing' a set of 10 medical droids as a respectable droid repair team. Belloc was able to re-sell to the hospital station with an over abundance of medical droids due to an administrative error.

…Hmm, I guess even an accountant can make a mistake... but one would think that would be some form of checks and balances in place to prevent the ordering of 1000 medical droids and 10 medical droid replacement components rather than the other way round, oh well, their loss was our gain...

Within a day of leaving the Givin and I already have an offer with 'Magnaguard Manufacturing' building basic droid models. I freely used, with the hiring managers knowledge, the many and frequent opportunities to dig through the scrap bins and collect bits and pieces of discards and Et cetera. Unfortunately a parting of the ways occurred when an upper level management issues resulted in missing paychecks and matters of communication and coordination broke down. Months of unemployment followed and I finally stumbled upon an opportunity that hopefully plays out favorably with the Crimson Veil. I have begun to amass my wealth under the aid of the Crimson Veil's leadership. In the not to distant future I hope to have my dreams realized.

Biography

Birth

A civilian Super L-500 Liner.

Born aboard a passenger liner, en-route to Ryloth. As imperial law states the birth is listed by the next planet of planet fall. Mother and Father had just completed a contract assignment off world and were returning home for the birth of their fifth (5) child. An unexpected journey delay and a minor accidental fall in her stateroom conspired to deliver their son 5 weeks early. The doctor was not prepared for the premature labor of one of the passengers, and was forced to deliver the child.

Spirits were high upon the arrival at Ryloth, The traveling family were met at the space port by their other children whom had spent the last year living with an aunt and uncle in the city. the 2 oldest sisters took charge of their new baby brother and the two older brothers were full of smiles and great cheer with the arrive of their newest brother. Aunti Tre and Uncle Yor were also quite happy with the return of their wondering family members. Grandpa Edig was also on hand to greet the new arrival.

Apprenticeship

Years passed and Nok'Rik, still without a name, was apprenticed to a Givin named Belloc who owed a life debt to Nok's father. Belloc was a successful merchant that traveled around the universe as his whim took him. Belloc owned and operated a dilapidated and sorely used Class IV Bulk Freighter that had seen considerable modification to the interior. One of these modifications included a rather illegal military flight simulator prototype that he had picked up in a black market deal some years back. The simulator came with a set of special purpose droids that could modify the "cockpit" to resemble one of several programmed fighters, freighters and Imperial frigates. Later Belloc made some custom programed cockpits of other frigates he had been able to gain access to. With this program Belloc was able to keep in form piloting anything in space. Nok'Rik was allowed to "Play" in the simulator after his duty's were complete, and play he did. The droids presented several "pilot scenarios" that required fast reactions and lots of smarts.

Magnaguard Manufacturing

At the age of 21, Belloc returned Nok'Rik to his homeworld and family. in the days before landing Nok'Rik had searched the nets for a possible course of action and a future. Upon arriving in system he placed a call to the recruiting offices of Magnaguard Manufacturing and made inquires about employment opportunities. Nok went to the family home and celebrated his home coming with his parents and youngest sister. Unexpectedly late that evening the recruiting offices at Magnaguard contacted Nok at his parents home to extend an immediate offer. The next afternoon Nok met with one of the employees who happened to be in the area making a delivery and off they went to his new life in Magnaguard. At first things were a bit dull. Nok was the manager of a Droid production factory, however he was admonished that they did not want any modifications to these droids. After a chat with the area director Nok was told that if a few items in the recycle bins were not recycled that they would not take issue. With these things Nok'Rik experimented with them trying out ideas and making models of possible future droids and droids he had only heard about.

Unfortunately, as these things tend to happen, Magnaguard had a period of upheaval that resulted in missing paychecks and significant communication problems throughout the company. Nok'Rik found himself either working for free or leaving the company.

Crimson Veil

Months of unemployment followed, and spirits were low and dragging. Not enough money to return home and no course open to him. Things got so bad that it became necessary for him to move out of the city and take up residence under a remote communications antenna about 3 miles out of town. That is until the owners of the tower caught him during a routine inspection. Nok'Rik had accumulated enough cash by this time to afford a few hours on the net at the library. Nok'Rik knew how to get a good job and set out his hooks to land it. within a few days using only minutes a day Nok had located 6 potential employers. Through the nets he determined the best one and accepted their offer of employment. Several days later Nok was again picked up and transported to another system where he was asked to fly a ship to another location where he would pickup another ship which would be his normal assignment. Finally things have started looking up for Nok'Rik. His first check came through and he managed to purchase a droid and several other items.

During his second month with the Crimson Veil Nok'Rik has managed to purchase several shares of stock in other companies. With luck this is his launching pad to a wealthy and happy future...
