-Jovian was born in Port Sarack, a large municipality on the planet Thyferra.  His father Fel Jovian was a native Thyferran, a lawyer by education, and a member of the city council.  He was also a vehement supporter of the Galactic Empire during the rise of the New Order.   His mother was a surgeon at Sarack Imperial Medical Center.  He was greatly influenced by both of his parents and his upbringing revolved mainly around academics, specifically history, literature and philosophy.  His mother also helped to inspire his interests in mathematics and science, ultimately leading him to pursue a Doctorate of Medicine from Zalxuc College on Thyferra.
