Early Life

Torinn was born in Coronet on Corellia on Day 264 in Year -4. His parents were Tarinn and Raina Zisarth, both accomplished brewers and distillers of fine ale and spirits, providing alcohol to The Grand Corellia,a very high-class hotel found in the center of the sister cities of Coronet, Carrara, and Corona, which occupies hundreds of acres of land. Younger by three years to his brother Terinn Zisarth, he always was following in his footsteps, creating their own adventures around the city, battling pirates looking to steal their parents famous Ale and Spirit recipes. Torinn was always curious, and brave, which got him into trouble every now and again to which Terinn would save him from.

Torinn was unusually quick with his studies, but would find himself daydreaming of traveling the galaxy, finding lost treasure or fighting for the Empire. Torinn felt more at home on the field of play, or on the stage with his academy choir, and helping his parents in the brewery. There was a fire at his parents brewery which had scorched everything they had, even his mother Raina. They lost everything. His older brother Terinn sought to help the family by enlisting with the Imperial Navy, sending everything he could back home to help rebuild what they had lost. After Terinn Left, Torinn was left behind. He felt empty, after the loss of his mother, and without his brother to comfort him, he fell into depression. He helped his father in the rebuilding of the brewery, but it all felt empty without his mother their to complete it. He finished rebuilding the brewery with his father, and began to work under his father as a brewer. The distilling side was always his mothers specialty, and it felt wrong to continue without her. Though Torinn kept his mothers distilling notes and recipes safe, hoping to one day continue her work. The place always seemed smaller, without his mothers beaming smile.

His brother Terinn would occasionally visit when duty allowed, always bringing home stories of his adventures with the Imperial Navy. Torinn always eager to hear that his brother was living the imagination games they used to play when they were younger. Torinn noticed his brother always seemed older than he was, despite their only three year age difference, maybe the Navy had taken its toll on him? When time came for Terinn to return to duty, Torinn felt the his heart drop harder every time, hoping that his brother would return safely. One day, correspondence from the Imperial Navy came to the brewery to report that his brother, Terinn Zisarth, was MIA. Torinn's heart sank, first his mother, now his brother. He knew his father wouldn't be able to handle this news, so he kept it secret from him for years.

Torinn was twenty-five and was running the day-today operations of the brewery with his father. He couldn't leave his father to the brewery alone, especially if he found out about his older brothers disappearance. Torinn's father had called him for a chat about the brewery, saying he was getting too old for this kind of work, thinking about selling it off to live comfortably, to let Torinn fly off with the Empire like his brother and have the adventures they had always talked about. Torinn couldn't believe what he was hearing his father tell him. Asking him how could he even think about doing this? He couldn't let his father sell the place. The brewery/distillery was all they had left of his mother. Memories of her, her laughter, her smile, her wit covered the walls of the place, and her smell lived on in the alcoholic drinks they made. He looked at his father, really looked deep into him, realizing how much a toll the years had taken on his father after the loss of his wife, the fire, his first born leaving for the Navy. Torinn couldn't imagine what would happen if he found out Terinn was missing. He convinced his father to take a more removed position from the brewery and that he would take care of it all.

A few days later, there was a knock at their door, Torinn's father opened it to find an Imperial Naval Officer, Terinn's uniform and medals in hand. His father collapsed, sobbing uncontrollably, inconsolable. Torinn took his brother uniform and merits. The officer said they had found his ship, supplies, everything, but his brother was nowhere to be found. They believe him to be dead. Torinn thanks the officer and helped his father back into the house. He did his best to make his father comfortable, and retired to his room, where he sobbed himself quietly to sleep. He awoke the next day, not having the energy, physically or emotionally to get out of bed, though he pulled himself up and tried to be strong, for his father. He went to his fathers room to rouse him, he cracked the door slightly. The air was still, quiet, a quiet of three parts. One part could have been filled with the early morning prep of the brewery next door, but neither he wasn't up to the task after yesterday. The second part, would have been filled with the laughter of him and his father conversing over breakfast, though there was one to be had that morning. And the third part, a quiet that filled the entire house, only to be broken by the sound of his still beating heart, which seemed to explode out of his chest. That third part, that was his quiet, and his alone. He went to his fathers side, resting a hand on his shoulder, knowing him to already be gone from this galaxy. At that time, he felt truly alone, with nothing more than his part of quiet, that filled the house where he grew up, and the brewery he rebuilt with his father for their mother.

He shut the doors of the brewery that day, a sign: NOT FOR SALE, NO TRESPASSING, hung on the front door. Torinn could not bring himself to sell the place. He also could not bear to stay their any longer, without his mother Raina, his father Tarinn, his brother Terinn. His brother Terinn, Torinn remembers what the Imperial Naval Officer had told him, they had found his ship but not his body. He believed that Terinn could still be alive. He grabbed his brothers uniform and medals, and packed what he needed, and headed off for the Imperial Academy. He was going to look for him brother, alive or dead, he would bring him back home.
