While by no means wealthy, Nestor family did enjoy a comfortable lifestyle during Rexx's childhood. In addition to their main home in Coronet City, Nestors also had a holiday home on the Gold Beaches and spent quite a bit of time travelling on their luxury yacht to off-world vacations. Rexx received a practical education, focusing on piloting and economics, from a very young age and enjoyed travels all through Core to the Inner Rim, experiencing different cultures via his travels. Until the age of 10, Rexx remained outside of the standard curriculum, trained by tutors and his parents and learning by experimentation. When he was 10, Rexx were registered to the Corellia Military Academy, where his many hours of piloting simulations were joined with theoretical and philosophical studies of the art of war. This was combined by rigourous physical training and an extensive focus on etiquette and discipline, to prepare the future officer cadres. Unlike many of his classmates who were Corellian nationalists with an eye to join Corsec after graduation, Rexx's dream was to join the Galactic Empire.
