Biography
Inception
Christine's less than scrupulous lifestyle and occupation. |
Alea iacta est
The dice have been cast.
Charlemagne was the alias of a serial rapist who resided in the Coruscant Underworld. By obtaining political favors through his work as an assassin, Charlemagne was at liberty to engross in his savage lust freely. The number of rapes committed by Charlemagne is uncountable, but experts have estimated it to be in the hundreds. Phoebe's mother, Christine, was one of the many victims of Charlemagne.
Disowned by her impoverished family and left to rot among the dregs of society, Christine was left to fend for herself. Resorting to prostitution and theft, Christine endured the cruel lashes of poverty, shame, and crime for several months in order to protect her child. A little less than two months earlier than expected, Phoebe was born prematurely in the back alley of the bar Christine had worked. With only a few expired death sticks, a dull knife, and dirty rags that she stole from the bar, Christine was on the verge of death when she gave birth to Phoebe. Before she could gain the strength to secretly abandon Christine at a nearby hospital, they were abducted by Trandoshan slavers.
Begging for the slavers to spare her child, Christine vainly cried for a shred of mercy. However, her cries were received as an annoyance and the Trandoshan slavers tortured Christine for entertainment in response. Already weak from childbirth, Christine succumbed to her injuries and presumably died in a matter of a few hours. Only hired to bring Phoebe alive, the Trandoshan slavers threw the corpse of Christine into the streets and sedated Phoebe so that she could be sold to the one and only Charlemagne...
Enslavement
- "As I slowly sink into the abysmal depths of psychosis,
- my mind crumbles and transforms into a vestige of primal savagery. "
- — Phoebe Doxa, Year -2
Phoebe was of Charlemagne's utmost interest: not because Phoebe was his child, but a means of pursuing his own interests of achieving immortality. Despite the brutally logical and calculative nature behind Charlemagne main occupation as an assassin, Charlemagne dogmatically believed in the legends of the Anzati. This fanaticism was why he became a serial rapist: he believed that he obtained "Soup" when he raped women and ceremonially drank the fluid of their brains. This of course, included Christine, who joined Charlemagne's collection of thousands skulls.

Equipment
Phoebe Doxa in her traditional black kimono. She casually wields her seven-layered Quadanium Alloy Tachi Vibroblade. |
Clothing
Phoebe'e traditional kimono is composed of a simple light white garment and a thicker and heavier black robe on the top. The white garment is specially made to regulate the body's temperature to comfortable levels, but it does not have the ability to protect the user from hostile environments. The black robe is non-flammable while special threads of quadanium alloy embedded in the fabric slightly lessens kinetic or blast damage to the body. Various lengths of rope and fabric are used to secure the kimono on tightly to prevent it from being grabbed or snagged. In the loose sleeves of kimono, there are several secret compartments for small items and knives.
The central belt serves as the main device of wearing and removing the kimono. Constructed out of fabric and reinforced with quadanium alloy threads, the belt is used to hold various items and sheath to her Tachi. In addition, the central belt also has a thin flexible powercell strip embedded within the fabric which is connected via a few thin black wires to the sheath. Recharging the powercell pack of the Tachi Vibroblade when not in usage, the central belt's powercell ensures that Phoebe will be ready to fight at any moment.
Battle Armour
Forged out of black Quadanium Alloy, the battle armor consists of two arm guards, two shin guards, and an armorweave chest plate. It is usually covered by Phoebe's kimono, diverting the suspicion of others at first glance. Favoring flexibility and mobility, the armorweave chest plate provides limited protection for the user and is only capable of absorbing the kinetic energy from projectile weapons and non-projectile weapons. The thin Quandanium Alloy top-layer will partially reflect blaster shots, preventing the blaster shots from hitting vital organs and giving Phoebe an optimal survival chance if medical treatment is applied. However, the arm guards and shin guards of the battle armor are heavily reinforced, allowing the user to parry or deflect nearly all kinetic and energy attacks.
Seven-Layered Quadanium Alloy Tachi Vibroblade
The blade was constructed by forging together seven different layers of quadanium alloy into a uniform single blade. The combination of seven different alloys makes the vibroblade significantly sharper, more durable, and surprisingly lighter than other blades. The blade has a slight curvature to the blade, making it ideal for quick, albeit shallower slashes. Although the blade itself can only penetrate primitive armors, the vibrational aspect enables the weapon to cut through most matter with ease.
Trinkets
Classic Lighter
A classic, rectangular lighter from the Dark Ages, a time where modern technology was scarce. The lighter seems well polished and clean, but the faded gold color gives away its age. Although the lighter seems well kept, the word "Doxa" is scratched crudely on the face of the lighter. Modified by Phoebe to be fueled by a minuscule tibanna gas cartridge, it emits an unusually bright red flame.
Pack of Havao Tabacc Cigarras
One of Phoebe's "bad habits," this light narcotic serves as a mild depressant to ease her the pain of her grim past. You can often see her lighting up a cigarra during her frequent episodes of pain and anxiety or before a Naval Operation. They are supposedly the secret to Phoebe's subpar piloting skills.
Golden Flask
Another classic item from the Dark Ages. The Golden Flask has almost the same appearance as the Classic Lighter: it is well polished and clean, but the faded gold color gives away its age. In addition, the word "Doxa" is carved crudely on the face of the flask, just like the lighter. Filled to the brim with pitch black cognac, which has an alcohol content of 75% Alcohol by Volume, the flask is another one of Phoebe's "Bad habits." The Golden Flask was also once filled with Rancor Blood at some point.
