Early life
Kyrvaal Vicus was born in Hapes on Year 0, Day 102 to Tapar Vicus and an unknown mother. Tapar never revealed to Kyrvaal who his mother was, or any details on their life prior to Kyrvaal's birth. This would be a source of contention for the duration of their relationship.
Tapar was an independent freighter pilot, transporting goods and passengers across the galaxy. Kyrvaal thus spent his early years in space, where he developed a deep understanding of ship piloting and maintenence. The YT-1210 Kyrvaal called home contained a small library, perhaps a remnant of Tapar's former life. Kyrvaal thus became an avid reader, immersing himself in subjects he was not regularly exposed to in his spacefaring life.
