Lex Talaris, born in Year 6 on Alderaan and raised on Coruscant, is a member of the Galactic Empire, whose rigorous education and upbringing within the Imperial elite culminated in his admission to the Imperial Academy in Year 26.

Personal History

Early Life

Lex Talaris was born in Year 6 on Alderaan, a planet renowned for its ecological splendor and cultural sophistication. His father, Voren Talaris, held a senior position as an Imperial bureaucrat overseeing Alderaan’s infrastructural development, embedding the family within the Imperial administrative elite. Lex’s mother, Elira Talaris, was a scholar of galactic trade systems, whose work sparked Lex’s early engagement with economic principles. In 14 BBY, at age five, Lex relocated with his family to Coruscant following Voren’s appointment to the Imperial Ministry of Logistics.

The urban expanse of Coruscant profoundly shaped Lex’s formative years. Residing in a fortified tower within the Administrative Sector, he was insulated from the planet’s marginalized strata. Voren and Elira, staunch proponents of the Empire’s mission to ensure galactic stability, nurtured Lex’s appreciation for its role in maintaining order. He spent leisure hours constructing model starships and watching holovids of naval operations, showing a strong interest in the galactic affairs and military life. His parents secured his enrollment in premier academies for the progeny of Imperial functionaries, initiating his formal education.

Education

Lex’s academic trajectory on Coruscant was marked by intellectual rigor, designed to forge disciplined Imperial cadres. At the Coreworlds Preparatory School, he demonstrated proficiency in mathematics and galactic history, distinguished by his capacity to deconstruct complex concepts. He was noted by his teachers as a potential leader and received strong recommendations to make him a strong candidate for many top junior schools.

In Year 21, at age 15, Lex matriculated at the Coruscant Junior Military Academy, an institution renowned for preparing candidates for Imperial service. The academy’s exacting curriculum, encompassing galactic history, physical training, and flight instruction, aligned with his disciplined disposition. In military studies, Lex excelled, formulating effective manoeuvres in holographic combat scenarios. He was also a keen student in economics and wrote a detailed term paper on the trade patterns amongst the Core Worlds, which gained the admiration of many of his professors.

Lex’s aptitude for piloting emerged in simulator-based flight training, where he navigated virtual starfighters with notable dexterity. His most prominent achievement was in the academy’s annual speeder races, where, in his final year, he piloted a customized landspeeder to victory through Coruscant’s industrial corridors, demonstrating exceptional skill and composure.

Imperial Service

In Year 26, at age 20, his exemplary academic and practical performance earned him admission to the Imperial Academy, marking his formal entry into the Empire’s service structure.
