Character History
Early life
Born on Corellia, the Cato family operated a growing freighter business providing goods and passengers across the galaxy. Their flagship, The Corellian Damsel was a fast light freighter which acted as a second home when off planet. By the age 10, Erik's parents had joined a large convoy to transport goods and engineers. The destinations were on several different planets leading out into the Outer Rim. Being a long voyage, Erik was left behind in the care of his aunt and uncle. Unfortunately convoy never reached its final destination. His parents never returned. A short time later it was reported that a large pirate attack had caught the convoy by surprise and there were no survivors.
Early Adulthood
Staying with his aunt and uncle, Erik took on an Imperial education until he was old enough to pilot a vehicle. Working as a ground pilot and hired gun, he saved up enough credits for a trip to Prakith's Imperial Academy with the hopes of one day exacting revenge against pirate factions. To him, the Empire was a symbol of stability and security. Joining the Imperial navy would be a way for him to gain access to the resources needed to plot his revenge and also bring honour to the Cato family.
Professional History
Imperial Academy
It wasn't long before the young Corellian started to make a name for himself at the Academy. He graduated with honours with strengths in piloting both ground and space vehicles. His training officer at the time was Lt. John Gates.
As a capable Ensign, Erik Cato currently serves the Imperial Navy.
