Sola Tao
[1] Father medical doctor, mother diplomat followed their paths but sometimes looks for adventure in all the wrong places. She worked and trained with her father in his clinic. Her parents arranged a marriage for her. She vowed to spend the rest of her life in a monastery before being married to their choice. Then realized she needed to experience life not avoid it.
As a child Sola was given all the opportunities and advantages of Naboo royality. Her mother, Sola Corde, was a distant relative to one of the Queens of Naboo. She was a loving mother who wanted the best for her only daughter. This included an position in the Diplomatic Corps.
Sola Tao enjoyed going on wilderness camp outs with her brother, Peyton Tao. Then later she joined her father on humanitarian expeditions. Sola relished the challenge of the adventure much to her mother's anguish. On her last trip with her father to a indigent village to rescue survivors of a GE attack Sola was superficially injured.
The sight of her daughter having bruises and lacerations sent Sola Corde into a determined posture. She found Sola a nice man who had wealth and a title . Sola could follow a medical career, a diplomatic career or have a family.
Peyton Tao found out about their mother's plan and alerted his sister, Sola. It was her move. She feigned a vision. Before Sola's mother could tell her about the arranged marriage Sola put on the performance of her life. With flowery speech and grand gestures she related her vision. It was a calling to the Aing-Tii. These alien monks had just recently established retreat monastery on Naboo.
Since the Aing-Tii had a different understanding of the Force and star technology Porter Tao, Sola's father, thought that their influence would temper Sola's wild streak. Her parents agreed to the religious advocation.
Sola went to the retreat monastery and offered her services as a cook in exchange for them teaching her Aing-Tii. A year had passed and Sola had learned meditation, unarmed combat, the history of Jedi and Sith and some discipline. She longed to go on an adventure. But her only adventure was going to the Theed market to buy supplies for the monestary. Then her opportunity came. She over heard an NIO pilot asking for directions to the Naboo Welcome Center. He was here to pick up a recruit. Sola ran as fast as she could to the Welcome Center. She looked all around. There was no one there that looked like a recruit. She saw the NIO pilot approach. Before he could go into the Welcome Center Sola flagged him down. She identified her as the recruit. Even though her name didn't match and she was not dressed for travel her pushy determination sealed the deal. He escorted her to the ship and gave her a warm flight suit. The ship's sublight engines went to hyperdrive.
Sola joined the New Imperial Order because of its reform philosophy. She had seen first hand the atrocities committed by the Galactic Empire. Her Academy classmates included Rul Knizar and Mark INKster.
KarThan Kissani was her Academy Instructor and she fell in love with him. He was a scoundrel, a rogue, who appealled to her wild side. During this time, a psycopath, named Drackel tried to set a trap for Kissani by black mailing Sola. He had posted lies about her on the Turner House Kiosk. Being humbled by all of this Sola went to the House Of Turner and begged Grand Duke Michael Turner to remove the false statement from the public data file. He agreed. The Grand Duke was understanding, compassionate and a true gentleman. And at that moment Sola fell in love again. It was an enchanted dream like love, one that she would never experience.
Drackel was captured and executed. Kissani went on a mission and never returned. Sola was a fighter pilot in the New Imperial Navy. Her friend Rul Knizar was the Army Commanding Officer and was taxed with rebuilding the Army. She asked for a transfer to help Rul. Within in the first, six weeks in the New Imperial Army Sola saw combat on the planet Tatoonie. As a green Second Lieutenant, she arrested the Falleen Minister of the Interior Tyler Davik at an illegal construction site. That year she rose to the rank of Major.
