Overview
As a long-standing tradition of the Galactic Empire, actions of the utmost loyalty and dedication may be rewarded by the Imperial High Command when decided upon. This page contains the display of all the military and civilian medals, ribbons, and commendations awarded by the Empire as of Year 12, Day 327 of the New Order.
Honours and Awards - Galactic Empire
Imperial Medal of Honor
[IMH]
The Imperial Medal of Honour is presented to an Imperial for extremely conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life and limb, far above and beyond the call of duty while engaged in actions against the enemies of the Galactic Empire.
Order of the Emperor's Seal
[OES]
The Emperor may invest a recipient with membership within The Order of the Emperor's Seal at his discretion, as recognition for exceptional dedication, loyalty, ability, and the application of those traits. Entrance into the Order of the Emperor's Seal replaces the Order of the Imperial Seal if the recipient is a member of that Order. This is a one time award.
Imperial Cross
[IC]
The Imperial Cross is presented to an Imperial who has distinguished themselves showing extraordinary heroism to ensure the safety and security of the Galactic Empire. The act or acts of heroism must have been so notable and have involved risk of life so extraordinary as to set the individual apart from their comrades.
Distinguished Service Medal
[DSM]
The Imperial Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to an Imperial in recognition of exceptionally long and/or meritorious service to the Emperor and the Empire.
Imperial Gold Star
[IGS]
The recipient of this medal shall undertake actions involving the utmost loyalty and dedication in the finest traditions of the Galactic Empire. The service and honour of the recipient has been recommended well above that required for an Imperial Silver Star.
Imperial Silver Star
[ISS]
The recipient of this medal shall undertake actions involving extreme loyalty and dedication in the finest traditions of the Galactic Empire. The service and honour of the recipient has been recommended well above that required for an Imperial Bronze Star.
Imperial Bronze Star
[IBS]
The recipient of this medal shall undertake actions involving major loyalty and dedication in the finest traditions of the Galactic Empire.
Order of the Imperial Seal
[OIS]
This award is presented by a member of The Throne where an Imperial has demonstrated resolute fidelity and sacrifice for the Galactic Empire. This is a one time award.
Obsidian Crescent
[OBC]
This award is presented to any member of the Galactic Empire that has been wounded or killed, or who has died or may hereafter die after being wounded whilst on active duty. Individuals are not recommended for the decoration; rather they are entitled to it upon meeting the criteria.
Medal of Valor
[MOV]
The recipient of this medal shall demonstrate infallible courage, bravery, and valor in the face of insurmountable odds, most often awarded posthumously.
Medal of Merit
[MOM]
The recipient of this medal shall demonstrate a superior ability to contribute to the good of the Galactic Empire above and beyond the call of duty.
COMPNOR Cross
[CC]
This award shall be presented to Imperials that have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty, and have personally through their action, made lasting improvements to the capabilities, effectiveness and efficiency of COMPNOR as a whole.
Imperial Intelligence Cross
[IIC]
This award shall be presented to Imperials that have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty, and have personally through their action, made lasting improvements to the capabilities, effectiveness and efficiency of Imperial Intelligence as a whole.
[NC]
This award shall be presented to Imperials that have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty, and have personally through their action, made lasting improvements to the capabilities, effectiveness and efficiency of the Imperial Navy as a whole.
Army Cross
[AC]
This award shall be presented to Imperials that have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty, and have personally through their action, made lasting improvements to the capabilities, effectiveness and efficiency of the Imperial Army as a whole.
Government Cross
[GC]
This award shall be presented to Imperials that have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty, and have personally through their action, made lasting improvements to the capabilities, effectiveness and efficiency of Regional Government as a whole.
Ministerial Cross
[MC]
This award shall be presented to Imperials that have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty, and have personally through their action, made lasting improvements to the capabilities, effectiveness and efficiency of the Ministry of Industry as a whole.
Sith Cross
[SC]
This award shall be presented to Imperials that have performed consistent service above and beyond the call of duty, and have personally through their action, made lasting improvements to the capabilities, effectiveness and efficiency of the Order of the Sith as a whole.
Commissioner of Betterment
[COB]
The recipient of this award shall demonstrate an unwavering effort to support initiatives to fundamentally and beneficially reform the procedures, policies, or practices of the Galactic Empire.
Achievement Medal
[ACH]
This medal and ribbon shall be presented to an Imperial whose performance, in the belief of an appropriate member of Imperial High Command, has been exemplary and makes the recipient an asset and example for their respective branch.
COMPNOR Medal of Progress
[CMP]
This award shall be presented for a meritorious and lasting contribution to COMPNOR. This contribution should help improve current standards for COMPNOR as a whole, and increase the capacity or efficiency of achieving COMPNOR's objectives.
Imperial Intelligence Medal of Progress
[IIMP]
This award shall be presented for a meritorious and lasting contribution to Imperial Intelligence. This contribution should help improve current standards for Imperial Intelligence as a whole, and increase the capacity or efficiency of achieving Imperial Intelligence's objectives.
[NMP]
This award shall be presented for a meritorious and lasting contribution to the Imperial Navy. This contribution should help improve current standards for the Imperial Navy as a whole, and increase the capacity or efficiency of achieving the Navy's objectives.
Army Medal of Progress
[AMP]
This award shall be presented for a meritorious and lasting contribution to the Imperial Army. This contribution should help improve current standards for the Imperial Army as a whole, and increase the capacity or efficiency of achieving the Army's objectives.
Government Medal of Progress
[GMP]
This award shall be presented for a meritorious and lasting contribution to Regional Government. This contribution should help improve current standards for Regional Government as a whole, and increase the capacity or efficiency of achieving Regional Government's objectives.
Ministerial Medal of Progress
[MMP]
This award shall be presented for a meritorious and lasting contribution to the Ministry of Industry. This contribution should help improve current standards for the Ministry of Industry as a whole, and increase the capacity or efficiency of achieving the Ministry's objectives.
Sith Medal of Progress
[SMP]
This award shall be presented for a meritorious and lasting contribution to the Order of the Sith. This contribution should help improve current standards for the Order of the Sith as a whole, and increase the capacity or efficiency of achieving the Order's objectives.
Imperial Active Service Medal
[IASM]
This award shall be presented to an Imperial that has seen active service in an Imperial Campaign. A clasp is awarded for each Campaign individually upon review and approval by The Throne.
Imperial Medal of Commendation
[IMC]
This award is intended to recognise that service which has repeatedly and consistently been above that of the recipient's peers. This award is presented in lieu of an Imperial's 8th Letter of Commendation.
Operational Success Award
[OSA]
Awarded to Imperial Intelligence Agents or Imperial Special Operations personnel who have successfully completed a Special Operation under the direction of the Bureau of Operations. Military personnel assigned to Special Operations Command may wear this award upon presentation, however only public or retired members of Imperial Intelligence may display this award.
Unit Distinguished Service
[UDS]
This award shall be presented to an Imperial Unit for excellent performance and military merits during manoeuvres. This award is one for service decidedly above that needed for a Letter of Commendation or Exercise Achievement Medal.
Battle Efficiency Medal
[BEM]
This award shall be granted to the members of an Imperial Unit that demonstrated conspicuous skill and effectiveness in a combat situation. This is a one time award.
Exercise Achievement Medal
[EAM]
This award shall be presented to an Imperial whose outstanding performance in a training exercise led them to win the exercise, displaying good initiative and leadership, and being an example for their comrades of how an Imperial should fight.
Good Conduct Award
[GCA]
The recipient of this award shall demonstrate honourable behavior consistently beyond that expected of personnel in the Galactic Empire.
COMPNOR Member Medal
[CMM]
This award is presented to an Imperial by the Grand Vizier upon their acceptance into COMPNOR. This award shall only be worn whilst the Imperial is actively serving within COMPNOR, unless granted special permission by the Grand Vizier.
Certified Imperial Intelligence Agent
[CIIA]
This medal is presented to Imperial Intelligence Agents after their time of apprenticeship, recognising their promotion to full powers, and establishment as a Certified Imperial Intelligence Agent. Military personnel assigned to Special Operations Command are not entitled to this award, and only public or retired members of Imperial Intelligence may display this award.
Certified Imperial Security Agent
[CISA]
This medal is presented to Imperial Security Bureau Officers after their time of apprenticeship, recognising their promotion to full powers, and establishment as a Certified Imperial Security Agent.
Order of the Sith Member
[OSM]
This medal is presented to members of the Order of the Sith after completion of their initiation, and recognises their ascension to full membership in the Order with all the rights and privileges thereof. Only public members of the Order may display this award.
Group Command Medal
[GCM]
This award is granted to an Imperial Officer who has completed the Naval Group Command specialisation at the Command College. This award can also be granted to a GCO who has completed a minimum of 6 months service as a GCO, and gained a positive review by NCOMD. Honours graduates are indicated with an oakleaf device.
Brigade Command Medal
[BCM]
This award is granted to an Imperial Officer who has completed the Army Brigade Command specialisation at the Command College. This award can also be granted to a BCO who has completed a minimum of 6 months service as a BCO, and gained a positive review by ACOMD. Honours graduates are indicated with an oakleaf device.
Government Administration Medal
[GAM]
This award is granted to an Imperial Officer who has completed the Regional Government Administration specialisation at the Command College. This award can also be granted to an Imperial who has completed a minimum of 6 months service in the role of a System Governor, and gained a positive review by the Chair of the Moff Council. Honours graduates are indicated with an oakleaf device.
Project Management Medal
[PMM]
This award is granted to a Ministry of Industry employee who has completed the Project Management specialisation at the Command College. This award can also be granted to an employee who has completed a minimum of 6 months service as a Manager, and gained a positive review by the Minister of Industry. Honours graduates are indicated with an oakleaf device.
Tactical Essay Contest
[TEC]
This award is presented to the winner of a Tactical Essay Contest. This contest is designed to measure the abilities of the participants to solve different adverse situations with limited resources.
Imperial Literacy Contest
[ILC]
The recipient of this award shall have written the best discourse in an Imperial Literacy Contest, demonstrating a high level ability with roleplaying and storytelling.
Imperial Literacy Award
[ILA]
This award is presented to those members of the Empire who have contributed significantly to Imperial Literature and Culture.
Imperial of the Month
[IOM]
Presented to an Imperial who has demonstrated a high level of professionalism and dedication to their duties, resulting in nomination for, and approval of the Select Committee for the Imperial of the Month award scheme.
Letter of Commendation
[LOC]
The recipient of this ribbon shall have received one Letter of Commendation for exemplary conduct in the service of the Galactic Empire.
Imperial Activity Medal
[IAM]
The recipient of this medal shall demonstrate activity and commitment to their duties surpassing the normal performance of their peers.
Imperial Service Medal
[ISM]
The Imperial Service Medal denotes the time of service for an Imperial member. The Imperial Security Bureau will award the Imperial Members with the appropriate awards at the appropriate time increments.
Corporate Service Medal
[CSM]
The Corporate Service Medal denotes time of service for an employee of the Ministry of Industry who is not serving within the Galactic Empire, but one of its nationalised factions. The Imperial Security Bureau will award employees with the appropriate awards at the appropriate time increments.
Imperial Recruitment Medal
[IRM]
This one time award is issued by the Imperial Centre for Recruitment, to ICR staff who have demonstrated dedication, reliability, and proven success in the field of recruitment.
Imperial Medical Department
[IMD]
This one time award is issued by the Imperial Medical Department, to IMD staff who have demonstrated reliability and proven success in the field of medicine that has contributed to the saving of lives.
COMPNOR Service Award
[CSA]
This award is presented by the Grand Vizier to a member of COMPNOR who has actively served for a specified period of time.
Imperial Intelligence Service Award
[IISA]
This award is presented by the Director of Imperial Intelligence to a member of Imperial Intelligence who has actively served for a specified period of time. Military personnel assigned to Special Operations Command are not entitled to this award, and only public or retired members of Imperial Intelligence may display this award.
Sith Service Award
[SSA]
This award is presented by the Dark Lord of the Sith to a member of the Order of the Sith who has actively served for a specified period of time. Only public members of the Order may display this award.
Imperial Campaign Medal
[ICM]
The Imperial Campaign Medal is issued by proclamation of The Throne in recognition of extensive and coordinated efforts of elements of the Empire that work to achieve a set of goals of sufficient magnitude to warrant the descriptor of 'campaign' despite there being no or minimal element of combat. A clasp is awarded for each Campaign individually upon review and approval by The Throne.
Imperial Academy Graduate
[IABG]
[IAHG]
This award is granted by the Commandant of the Imperial Academy for a student that has graduated at the end of their training, showing a lot of dedication and great skills. Those graduating with Honours shall wear an oakleaf device indicating their achievement.
Mentioned in Dispatches
[MID]
This award is presented to an Imperial upon actions in the performance of their duty warranting special mention, but not of significance or sufficient level to qualify for another award. To qualify for this award, an Imperial and their act of note must be cited by the official weekly report to the relevant Branch Command.
Imperial Citizenship Award
[ICA]
This award shall be presented to the member of the Empire for his contribution to the well of the Galactic Empire by means of a donation of a significant amount of resources or assets. This is a one time award.
Medal of Support
[MOS]
The recipient of this award has financially contribute to the development costs of the Galactic Empire (OOC). This is a one time award.
Imperial Monthly Meeting
[IMM]
This one time award is presented to an Imperial who has attended a minimum of six consecutive Imperial Monthly Meetings. After 12 months of consecutive attendance at an IMM, recipients are presented with an oakleaf device.
