When it comes down to boldness (or madness), this is the one you should seek. Be it by recklessly flying arround asteroid fields, purposely performing agressive air maneuvers upon landing a freighter on the parking spot or piloting blindfolded, Derek does get his daily dose of adrenaline. To be within a cockpit is about all it takes to make a good living - whatever else is solely of secondary concern.

Hazardous flights aside, there are only two other tiny things that will surely take hold of his attention: women and alcohol. Shouldn't that be enough, he's also into gambling - and loosing. It doesn't imply, however, that Derek takes poor responsability at work; performing air tasks in record timing is of utmost importance to achieve his personal satisfaction.
