Information
Physical Information
Born rather tall, even for her race, Cruella stands above most men. Coupled with her blue skin and crimson red eyes, this can position her to be quite intimidating. She has silky dark blue hair that rests on her shoulders, a common hairstyle for her people. Aside from her height, there is nothing too noticeable about Cruella. She refuses to wear jewelry or get tattoos, feeling as if they are markings and that of uncivilized people. This reflects on her clothing, as she usually wears a simple white garb, with the only oddity being her recruit uniform.
Family History
Coming from two houses, Cruella wishes nothing more than to erase her family history. Her father, Karven Lavai, comes from a long line of scholars who studied the biological aspect of force sensitives. Her mother was quite different, in that she was a believer in the mystical art of the force, and often seen to be a jedi sympathizer. Their union was celebrated, however, Yazilth became very dominant in the relationship, forcing her beliefs onto her husband. Both soon became fanatics in terms of the force, and when they had a child, they were convinced she would be force sensitive. This did not happen, and as a result, a tear happened between daughter and parents, as Cruella developed a strong distrust in the force sensitive.
Personality
Cruella is a stern academic who values facts over fiction. She analyzes and investigates everything, which is both a blessing and a curse. She is known to be extremely loyal and obedient towards her masters, following out their commands regardless of her feelings. She gets along well with others, easily being able to make conversation. However, if she views one as a fool, she will noticeably ignore them. She is also very blunt and honest, marking one of her most reliable traits in that she never lies.

The Chiss Daughter
Being a disappointment means many things. It means you dont have to worry about failing, you dont have to worry about upsetting. Nothing you do can ever be worse than what you have already done. This is how Cruella's parents treated her. From early childhood, her parents attempted to routinely force check her, using herbs and science, prophecies and eventually other force sensitives to see if she was one of them. She wasn't. This led to disgust in her parents eyes. The force was her family's life. Everything they did, thought, believed, it was all based upon the force, particularly the "light." Growing up with parents like this, it was difficult for her to ever fit in. Her family lost most respect when Cruella turned out to be just a regular girl. They based everything upon her being force-sensitive, so when she wasn't, they were viewed as shams. This made it hard to socialize, make friends, or even just be her own person, because everyone saw her as the false seer's daughter.
Her parents were not particularly kind to her either. There was never physical abuse, but there was always the mental abuse. They refused to use her name, calling her Lashaki'manio'shi, a cultural name meaning 'poisoned seed.' This resulted in Cruella developing an extreme distance from her parents, and in truth, a hatred. She wanted nothing more than to leave her home. Her family, her people, her village. All were foolish. They were once mighty scholars, scientists, discoverers. Now they were fools who worshiped the force. In school, Cruella used her distance from others and determination to excel. She studied politics, debating, history, the art of war, geography, and religious studies. It was in these classes that she became so strong in her beliefs. Ironically, everything she came to believe, was the opposite of what she was taught. Her teachers told her that the Empire was evil, that they were cold killers, racists, mysoginstys. People with no ethics and only a desire for gold and power. They idolized the jedi order, calling them heroes, and trying to convert many to become sympathizers to the order and the rebel cells. Cruella saw through this. The Galactic Empire was a force of power and wealth, yes, but they were fixing the world. The Jedi order was corrupt, it brainwashed, abducted kids, taught them to fear every aspect of the dark. The rebels were no better, how many innocents died in their wars, how many families were torn apart. Everything the Empire did was for a reason, their race laws were valid - precaution was necessary. It did hurt that this affected her, but the Empire didn't mistrust her, it mistrusted her people. Trust could be earned, and so she would. Overcoming the lies, she still managed to thrive in her classes, as her facts and knowledge reigned supreme. When she finished, she knew her time on this planet was over.
Leaving was difficult. Not because she did not want to, but because her parents wouldn't let her. They tried to lock her in the house and 're-educate' her, but she refused. Despite the constant attempts to break her spirit, she never let them. Upon a festival to honor the force she found her moment, applying to the Imperial Academy. She fled her home shortly after, taking one of her peoples spacecraft. They barely used it anymore, mostly sticking to their own planet. When her parents got wind of this, they tried to stop her, but were ultimately too late. She yelled down at her mother, mocking her for her spirituality, and renouncing her house name. With this final statement, she left the system, never seeing her parents again. In truth, if she had later not been accepted into the academy, who knows what she would have done. Perhaps she would have become a bounty hunter, a jedi killer, or maybe a scientist at some fancy corporation. Maybe she would have just flown into the sun. However, she was accepted, and that was all that mattered to her.
