Overview
As the primary transport for military personal, the Lambda has served the Empire in a large variety of roles. This shuttle has been assigned to both the Imperial Navy and Army for many years. The Lambda can also be seen sporting a variety of unique variants dependent on the fleet commandant or special person that the shuttle belongs too. As the shuttle is exclusive to the Imperial Military, to obtain one in manners other than service to the Empire would break Imperial law.
Design
The Ramp onto the ship is located below the cockpit and it would lead directly into the primary bay of the shuttle to make cargo loading easier for those assigned. The vessel has seats that can be raised to allow more storage on board. The vessel features a central middle wing along with two collapsible wings that created additional thrust and firepower when extended. The wings must be collapsed when landing.
Role
Personal Transport
If anything, the Lambda can be remembered for bringing Imperial Legion from orbit to the soil in minutes as an excellent alternative to the TIE/sh. With a sturdy defensive alignment and effective sublight speeds, troops only need to pray that their pilot is somewhat competent and they will make it to the ground.
Cargo Transport
This shuttle is known for being capable of transporting up to 80 metric tons of cargo when maximizing weight capacity.
