Carmon Hdarr (pronounced Car mon Ha dah])
History
Carmon Hdarr, was raised on the small moon of Talus in the Corellian system, the son of a well respected freighter pilot Dermon Hdarr and Navigator Shira Hdarr. Carmon spent his early childhood years playing in and around Starports waiting for his parents to arrive from their allocated cargo/ passenger runs. Carmon attended the Talus juvenile education facility where he learnt the basic of reading and writing as well as other skills such as space chart reading and swoop/ speeder piloting.
When he was 15 Carmon's parent left to pick up a shipment of Malastarian fuel from Malastare and return it to Talus. Once the cargo and passengers were on board the ship departed the spaceport on Malastare, just before jumping into hyperspace tragedy struck. The secure tanks of fuel were place too close to a vent in the wall and when the ship entered hyperspace a small piece of unsecured junk shot out of the vent and penetrated the tanks, the fuel ignited from the spark and the ship was violently ripped out of hyperspace. The overloaded reactors and sudden drop caused the ships engines to explode causing catastrophic atmospheric loss. With the lack of a containment field the fires from the lower decks soon reached the rest of the fuel causing the whole ship to implode. The only trace of the old freighter was a Holonet transmission from Carmon's mother requesting support and declaring her love for her young boy.
Carmon was struck hard at the loss of his parents in such a violent manner, all fuel transport was suspended out of Malstare until new safety checks could be put in place. Over the coming years Carmon dropped out of the education facility and soon found himself living on the streets of Talus. This is where Carmon says he learnt most of his life skills. After an altercation with a gang of youths Carmon was left for dead on a Reuplsor-train station. Wounded and bleeding out Carmon was picked up by a group of young men in olive uniforms and transported to a medical facility. Weeks of Bacta treatment healed most of Carmon's wounds but left him with a scaring from the shoulders down. Whilst in the medical facility Carmon became friends with another patient, a young woman named Coiso Duman. The two became great friends and eventually ended up as a couple. Carmon and Coiso were together for 2 years when they moved to Dearic the capital city of Talus and had found work. Carmon became a factory worker assembling speeder bikes for a local baron whilst Coiso waited on tables in the local diner. On the eve of their 3rd anniversary Carmon had organised a surprise trip to the Ageyn Foothills, he was going to pickup Cosio after her shift and drive her to the planetary transport hub where they would board a private shuttle to their weekend away. Unknown to Carmon the same night he had booked out his transport the Empire were loading blasters and other weaponry intended on re-supplying the outpost garrisons scattered around the planet. Rebel terrorist detonated explosive devices all around the city to divert Imperial reinforcements away from the transport hub. Chaos erupted as the Imperial troops were gunned down just outside the building. Carmon and Cosio were already inside having just past security when the Rebels stormed the building. Blaster fire erupted down the halls as the rebel squads advanced, deploying smoke grenades to cover them. Carmon and Cosio took cover behind a console. Carmon drew his hold out blaster and handed it to Cosio. He instructed her if anyone threatens her she is to just shoot and don't think about. Carmon slide across the floor and picked up a E-11 blaster from a fallen Stormtrooper. Carmon ran back to Cosio and the two moved to a service hatch on the side of the room. The two teenagers hid in the hatch as the Rebel troops moved through the security hall kicking the bodies of fallen Imperial soldiers and civilians that had been caught in the cross fire. They returned moments later pushing boxes with the Imperial symbol sprayed onto the side of them. Once they were clear Carmon and Cosio slipped out of the hatch and made their escape. Running through the halls, bodies and blaster burns were scattered everywhere. As they turned the last corner before the entrance they encountered a lone rebel solider looting bodies. The soldier turned and faced the two and before a word could be uttered sent a bolt straight into Cosio's stomach. Carmon without thinking raised his blaster and sent 3 bolts into the solider. He flung back before crashing hard on the floor lifeless. Carmon held Cosio as life slipped away from her, her last words were "Be something better my love". The words stuck with Carmon for the rest of his life, having it tattooed on his left forearm. After the death of his beloved Carmon turned to the street life to make ends meet. He began selling small amounts of spice as a way to boost his income. When the factory he was working in closed down after a suspicious fire Carmon had been left with nothing once again. He started pushing larger amounts of spice and other substances as well as robbing, hustling and rigged gambling, returning to the life that he had only just been pulled out of.
By the time Carmon was 21 he had become a veteran street crawler, his skills with a blaster scared most gangs away as did his thieving and bribery skills. Even with all these skills Carmon still felt like he had failed. His father had a legacy that hailed him a hero, what did Carmon have? A criminal record and a trail of dead small time gangsters behind him. It wasn't until he ran out of a bar one night after starting a fight did Carmon begin to see a change. Carmon realised that it was time for a change, he tried to enlist in the local security forces but they laughed him out the door. Carmon approached every starship captain that locked eyes with him down at the ports. No one wanted a bar of the grubby looking street rat. The empire was his last hope. He had heard stories of their training, the regimental life style did not seem appealing at all but it was either that or be dead in a year.
It was one thing after another, first came the training. They Shaved his head, gave him an Olive uniform with 2 grey bars and pushed both his physical and mental abilities to the limit. Weeks at a time spent out in the forests of strange planets, the sounds of the bugs and animals still haunt him today. After 12 months of intense training it came to selection day, Carmon was given the option of which branch he would like to serve. Army, Navy, Government or engineering. Following in his fathers footprint Carmon elected the navy. No sooner did he sign those documents he found himself on a Star Destroyer.. That is where our story begins.
