Background

Teran Varos was born into a world of precision engineering and Imperial order. His parents, Valen and Myra Varos owned a reputable business specializing in the repair and retrofitting of Imperial ships. Under the watchful eye of the Galactic Empire, their business prospered, securing lucrative contracts to maintain TIE fighters, Star Destroyer components, and other vital machinery of the Imperial war machine. For the Varos family, the Empire was meant stability, prosperity, and security.

Growing up in the shipyards, Teran was surrounded by the hum of hyperdrive engines, the rhythmic clang of metalwork, and the disciplined presence of Imperial officers overseeing operations. He watched stormtroopers patrol the streets with confidence and saw how efficiently the Empire quelled disorder, giving Teran the lasting impression that this is how order is maintained in the galaxy.

From an early age, he dreamed of flying, not just repairing the Empire’s ships but piloting them into battle. He memorized holo-vids of TIE fighter formations, studied the specifications of the latest starfighters, and practiced in whatever flight simulators he could access. His father, though proud, was hesitant—ship repair was safe, profitable but his mother, seeing the ambition in her sons eyes fostered his enthusiasm. This maintained his interest in his studies and ensured him securing a place to train at the Imperial Academy ensuring a bright future. Even knowing that he was not guaranteed a position in the branch he obsessed over as a child, Teran applied himself well to his studies and never waivered in his desire to serve the institutions that allowed him to enjoy a stable upbringing.

Career

Teran completed Basic Training at the Imperial Academy on Year 26 Day 110, graduating with honours. Following this Teran was assigned to the Imperial Navy serving in Emerald Task Force.
