Character History
Early Childhood
Dreams and Ambitions
As a young child Jorgus always dreamed of being an explorer, a freelance mercenary, or a bounty hunter. Something that would allow him to go wherever he wants to go with nobody to tell him that he is not allowed to or that he cant. He wanted to be able to leave anything, anytime, especially Corellia. Especially this city he just wanted to leave and fly around eternally visiting new planets and travelling throughout the stars. Like most children's dreams, these eventually changed.
A Child of Imagination
Up until Jorgus' tenth birthday he was a relatively happy child. He spent his days outside with a wooden stick pretending it was a speeder, a lightsaber, or a fighter cockpit and he would be shooting down pirates and all of Corellia would chear him on. His parents would spontaneously leave for business trips and Jorgus would be left all alone with his droid maid in his house on Corellia. Many years passed and Jorgus still played and imagined and watched his parents leave and return. On the night of his tenth birthday Jorgus was ushered down into the hidden bunker underneath his house. Confused he began to fiddle with the controls and was able to activate a camera inside the house. He was proud of himself, but that pride only lasted a moment... When he turned on the camera he saw his parents killed mercilessly and then dragged away. He stayed in the bunker for many, many nights when he began to run out of food and decided to turn his life around, as much as he could at the moment.
City Life
He eventually decided to make his way to Coronet and after a long and tiring journey he had arrived with only a few credits and a little bit of food. It wasn't a good life in the city for him, but it was different... for Jorgus anything different then home was good, real good. Though Jorgus was really hungry in the city and did not have much money he slowly began accumulating more and more by begging in the mornings and scavenging parts and such from junk yards at night. By begging and scavenging things, then selling them to traders, Jorgus was able to have a small amount of income every week. At the end of every week Jorgus would hide one third of his credits and use the rest for food, water, clothes, and if possible, one night of shelter for really cold days. As he grew older he was able to work in a few places and learn some good trading and bargaining skills with the traders around town so he could get more money of what he scavenged.
A Better Life
Three years passed and Jorgus eventually turned 13 years old by that time he had saved up a lot of money from his little jobs around town and knew many ways to bargain with the traders and convince them to give him a better price on the things he found. With the credits he had saved up he was able to buy himslef a small room in a hotel that was near the Coronet library. He eventually decided to apply for a job there and he was luckily accepted. At the library he worked the sales desk, the informations desk, and the customer service desk. Any time he was off duty from any of these jobs he would eat a little bit and look up and examine records of strategies, used by experts of naval warfare, and accounts of wars that had passed. His favorite things upon examining these records would be exploiting the flaws in his head he loved seeing how the tide of some battles may have turned if only the commander would have moved his fighters there instead of here, or focus power on lasers instead of shields. He would go over the fights in his head until he knew them so well it was like he experienced them... he wished he had experienced them.
Entering the Academy
Several more years passed, Jorgus eventually turned 16 and continued to work in the library. One day Jorgus saw somebody he recognized from a few records, it was the Assistant Dean of the Corellian Naval Academy. He wonderded why he had come. He watched as the librarian talked with him and eventually brought the assistant dean over to him. The librarian had told the assistant dean that Jorgus knew a lot about Naval warfare and general Naval history. The assistant dean discussed with Jorgus for a while and was astonished by Jorgus' knowledge. He began to ask him questions, in a quizical manner, about naval warfare and tactics and such. When the assistant dean had finished asking all his questions and realized that Jorgus answered every question correctly the professor made up his mind and took him to the dean of the academy. The dean didnt want Jorgus to join because he didnt have the means to pay, but knowing about Jorgus' talent the assistant dean stepped in and made a bet with the dean. He bet the dean that Jorgus would graduate with honors, and that if he didnt then the assistant dean would pay twice the acceptance fee for entrance into the academy, but if Jorgus did graduate with honors then the Dean would graduate him, recongnize him as a student, and give him the Biggest Improvement Award. Having nothing to lose the dean accepted the bet and Jorgus enrolled into the CNA (Corellian Naval Academy) the following year.
Adventures in the Academy
During Jorgus' time in the academy he had many experiences and went through/participated in many events. Among these things he met some interesting people and quickly passed through what he looks back on as the most innocent period of his life that was filled with many things that he wishes night after night, could happen again.
Among the many events Jorgus participated in during his time in the C.N.A. were the annual induction to the Naval Sects, nights at the Krayt Lounge, Tactic Tournaments, The Corellian Diamond challenges, and the Cup of Virtue.
