| − | Declan Marshall is a human male from Tatooine, moving to Coruscant early on in his life so his father could pursue his trade as a merchant. Declan received his education on Coruscant as did his brothers often assisting their father with running the family business when school was out of session. Often being described as a "hard-working" young man by his father and other traders, he knew that keeping on the family business was not going to be the sum of his ambition.

| − | Declan left Coruscant not long after he graduated from school. He went to the Kuat System to find a job helping to construct Imperial Starships, often finding himself in awe of enormity of the projects undertaken at Kuat.

Soon after this assignment, Recruit Marshall completed all sections of the Imperial training program and was later assigned to the Imperial Army, to serve His Majesty. Recruit Marshall graduated as one of the top in his class with honors.
