Biography
Life on Coruscant
Jena was born out of a sporadic relationship between Levva and Joefra, neither of them being clear about whether or not they wanted to start a family. In the end, they agreed to live together, but the relationship was always more practical than romantic.
Joefra was a doctor working in a clinic in the underworld of Coruscant. He always claimed that he had been one of the best doctors in the Galaxy, but that the envy of his colleagues had led to him being fired and so he had turned to drink and other less desirable drugs, embittered by his dismissal.

But one night, when Jena was a teenager trying to get her drunken father to go to bed, he confessed the truth to her. He told her that he'd had a good job as a doctor in a prestigious private clinic on Coruscant, but that contacts in a criminal gang had offered him a deal too good to say no: if he stole from the material clinic, they'd pay him three times his price.
He did this for months, until he was found out and had to flee before he ended up in prison. He changed his name and with what little he had left he opened the clinic he now ran in the underworld, but bitter, he started drinking. The alcohol caused him to malpractise and the bad reputation spread like wildfire.
In the end, only those who had no alternative, either because they had no more money or because they wanted to go unnoticed, came to his clinic.
Levva, on the other hand, always tried to raise Jena with good values. To be kind, to be compassionate, not to be dragged down by her father's bitterness. At first Levva worked as an assistant at the clinic and the relationship developed from there, but when she became pregnant, she moved away and then went on to other jobs: from saleswoman at a street stall to waitress, with hardly any rest.
All this meant that Jena had little contact with her parents throughout her childhood and adolescence, and she became quite independent. When Jena was not drunk, she taught him medicine, albeit in fits and starts. Levva spent many hours away from home working, until his health began to deteriorate.
When Jena turned 16, she started helping her father to earn more money so that her mother would not have to carry so much of the burden, but the clinic's bad reputation was too strong to attract many clients. And so it was that her father started taking death sticks in a spiral of self-destruction.
No matter how hard Levva and Jena tried to talk some sense into Joefra, the addiction took over and after two years the disgraced doctor died. Jena doesn't talk about it much and it clearly still affects her.
Jena tried to take over the reins of the clinic, but she didn't really know all that was necessary and needed more studies. Debts began to pile up and Levva's health became progressively worse.
Lost and unsure of what to do, one day Jena saw a recruitment poster for the Empire. So far she had hardly thought about politics or war, but looking for some information she realised that it was the solution to her problems: on the one hand she would have a good salary and on the other hand, the army could provide her with the education she wanted to become a good doctor.
Her mother was not happy about it, but there were not many alternatives left. A soldier's salary was much better than that of a waitress.

Personal information
Personality
Jena is usually polite and formal, maintaining a calm tone of voice most of the time. Over the years she has developed the ability to have a poker face even though she is internally cursing at the top of her lungs.
However, when she feels more comfortable and relaxed she tends to show more of her true self. Not often, as she is an aloof person.
On those occasions when she is more confident, she tends to show a somewhat sarcastic sense of humor.
Although she is part of the military, she is gentle in nature and her main priority is medicine. Although she does not want to admit it, she has an altruistic sense of selflessness that drives her to pursue her career as a military doctor.
She is not a coward, but she is not very self-confident, so it is easy for her to obey orders without asking herself whether they are correct or not.
However, if something is put to her, she is quite stubborn and can get into trouble for not wanting to give in.
Her biggest motivation is to become a good doctor, so she takes her studies in general very seriously. That may give the impression that she is a serious and responsible person, which is only half true.
Political views
Jena never really came to have a true opinion of the Empire before joining it. Living in the less fortunate areas of Coruscant, there were more pressing problems to worry about.
To her the Empire was the form of government she had always known, without ever questioning alternatives or criticisms. Power was something too distant and which also seemed to have very little influence on her life, beyond the occasional propaganda she saw on holosigns or the speeches she could hear on the holonet.
For her, the only reference of order and law were the few officers of the Coruscant Security Forces. These were sometimes despotic, sometimes just, without her seeing a criterion that could make her think of an ideology.
However, once he was recruited, she began to ask herself questions about who she was going to serve. She still has a lot of political uneducation and a very naive sense of the world, so she has quite a bit left to learn.
Relationships
For now, Jena doesn't know many people in the Galaxy
She had a cordial relationship with her training officer, Thokul Tovcor. When she graduated, they shared a toast and parted on good terms.
