The middle child of a respectable family of couriers, Arthur spent most of his childhood playing second fiddle to his older brother Lancel, a child prodigy by all accounts who was heir to their parents company and fortune. An inquisitive, quiet and reclusive child, Arthur lacked the extroverted charisma of both his siblings and spent most of his time with his grandfather learning the ins and outs of the family business.
