Project Rejuve is an IIS project run within the Ministry of Culture, which aims to modernise the Imperial Archives and make it more useful for those who wish to read or contribute. This is an OOC project.

Grades of article

Class Criteria Reader's experience Editing suggestions Example
Featured The article has been selected as a Featured Article, as selected by Imperial Archives administrators. It is:
  • Well-written, featuring engaging and readable prose of a professional standard
  • Comprehensive, without the omission of known major facts or details, and gives readers appropriate context to understand without requiring they look elsewhere
  • Well-researched, being a thorough and representative accounting, verified with high-quality sources and with citations if needed
  • Tone-appropriate, presenting a standard neutral encyclopaedic overview.
  • As long as it needs to be. It focuses on its topic without irrelevant detail, but also contains everything it needs to give the reader a complete understanding of its topic.

Structurally, it has:

  • An concise introductory sentence or short paragraph, summarizing the topic and indicating what the reader will see more of.
  • A table of contents with appropriate sections, breaking the article content into manageable, logical chunks.
  • Correct and complete use of relevant templates in place of plain text when possible, ie. service history templates instead of plain text lists.
  • Images which correspond to the article and to the text near which they are placed, with captions whereever possible. Ideally these should be hosted on the GE's art server.
 Professional, outstanding, and thorough; a definitive source for encyclopedic information. No further content additions should be necessary unless new information becomes available; further improvements to the prose quality are often possible but should not be prioritised over pages requiring more significant refactoring. Excellent The article meets all the criteria for Good class, and is also essentially content-complete in the judgement of Imperial Archives administrators. It could be taken to Featured Article class though further polishing of the prose, style tweaks, additional images or the like. Very useful to readers. A fairly complete treatment of the subject. A non-expert in the subject would typically find nothing wanting. Expert knowledge may be needed to tweak the article, and style problems may need solving. Category:Excellent_Articles
Good The article meets all the criteria set out in Imperial Archives:A Good Article. Useful to nearly all readers, with no obvious problems; approaching (though not necessarily equalling) the quality of a professional publication. Some editing by subject and style experts is helpful; comparison with an existing featured article on a similar topic may highlight areas where content is weak or missing. Category:Good_Articles
Fair The article is substantial but is still missing important content or contains irrelevant material. The article should have some references to reliable sources, but may still have significant problems or require substantial cleanup. Useful to a casual reader, but would not provide a complete picture for even a moderately detailed study. Considerable editing is needed to close gaps in content and solve cleanup problems. Category:Fair_Articles
Stub A very basic description of the topic. Majorly incomplete, with little meaningful content. Provides very little meaningful content; may be little more than a dictionary definition. Readers probably see insufficiently developed features of the topic and may not see how the features of the topic are significant. Any editing or additional material can be helpful. The provision of meaningful content should be a priority. The best solution for a Stub-class article to step up to a Fair-class article is to expand on those areas which give context to why the topic is significant, alongside improving the prose quality. Importance of Articles

Articles are of differing importance, and the most important articles should be brought to Good quality as a priority. Project Rejuve members should focus on completing the top two tiers prior to spending much time on the rest, although you are welcome to edit anything should the mood strike.

  1. Max importance - branch pages, Throne and former Throne character pages
  2. Top importance - current formations (eg taskforces, NATs, ministries), IHC character pages, IU pages/pages with diplomatic relevance
  3. Moderate importance - major SWC canon/RP flavour (important events, cultural fixtures, key planets/cities, etc), historic branches, historic IHC
  4. Low importance - Minor formations/very old historical information, historic formations, minor SWC canon/RP flavour/culture
  5. Least importance - Character pages not covered elsewhere, unimportant historical events, content primarily of interest only to its author

Flagging for deletion

Articles can be removed entirely only by an administrator of the Imperial Archives. To queue one, use the {{Deletion}} template, at the top of the page. Pages should be marked for deletion if they meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • The article is about a subject of low importance, and is currently a stub and any relevant information it provides has already been merged into any other relevant pages.
  • The information is mostly or entirely non-canon, including non-SWC canon, and the article is of low importance such that it is not worth reworking.
  • The article is patent nonsense, spam, or is otherwise malicious.
