Jailen Rasht is a recruit enrolled at the Imperial Academy.

Personal History

Jailen Rasht grew up in the city of Aldera, the capital city of the Planet Alderaan. Unlike many of his peers, he did not come from wealth. His parents died when he was very young and had to learn to fend for himself from the time he was roughly four years old. (as he had no one to take care of him, his exact age is unknown but is assumed to be around the age of eighteen) The only thing Jailen remembers about either of his parents is his father saying, "Now son, I can't give you much. But I will make sure you are educated so that maybe, just maybe, you can rise above all of this and one day become bigger and better than your mom or I could ever hope to be." Jailen remembers this statement from his father clear as day, yet remembers nothing else. Not even about the day they died and he was left alone. As his father was not there to ensure he received his promised education, Jailen was forced to sneak into classes and steal books from other children. He taught himself how to read and quickly began giving himself the education his father had always promised him. He did no legitimate work. As far as income was concerned, most if not all of his activities were illegal. Growing up an orphan street urchin, he knew nothing else other than survival by an means necessary. By the time he was around what is assumed twelve years old, other orphans began coming to him for assistance. Many who came to him were starting off in the same position he did; no one to look out for them and no direction whatsoever. Jailen would give them this direction. He encouraged them to steal their own textbooks and he taught all of those who came to him how to read and write. Jailen had become a master pickpocket and burglar, so he passed these skills on to those who needed his aid. Jailen took these "lost boys" and turned them into an organized group that became known throughout Aldera as, The Street Urchins. As he was the Architect of the group, he was dubbed, the Street Urchin King. As he grew into adulthood, he grew tired of having to scrape the bottom of the barrel in order to get by. Jailen wanted legitimate work that was both fulfilling and rewarding. His education complete, and with his dreams of becoming something "bigger and better," Jailen left his second only known as, Al, in charge, stole a ship which he dubbed, the Street Urchin's Dream, and set course for Prakith, the home of the Imperial Academy. With some credits, a ship, and his dreams of becoming something "bigger and better," Jailen enrolled in the Imperial Academy on Day 258 of Year 15. He is still currently enrolled in the Academy, and will be choosing the Branch of Regional Government upon graduation.
