Family

Jonathan Murphy was born on 25 August year -20 in Selukwe, a small mining and farming town about 310 km southwest of the Mos Eisley. He had two elder sisters, Phyllis and Joan. His father, John Douglas "Jock" Murphy was a prominent rancher, butcher, miner and garage owner in Selukwe. Jock and his wife Agnes had met when she was 16. After Mr Hodgson sent his wife and children back to Coruscant, Jock Smith astonished them by arriving unannounced to ask for Agnes's hand; they had not seen each other for three years. They married and then returned together to Tatooine, where Jock, an accomplished racer, won the year -27 Derby at Mos Eisley.

Military service

Murphy was fascinated by the idea of being a CAPCOM pilot, and particularly excited by the prospect of flying an ISD. He enlisted into Imperial Navy in first 40 days of Year 6.

During this tour of duty, he achieved a rank of Flight Sergeant and numerous awards, which unfortunatelly were destroyed, together with Murphys files, as he switched to NIO.

During his service in NIO fleet, he again elevated to the rank of Flight Sergeant.

JMC

During service in NIO, Jonathan Murphy had to take some long term leave, for personal reasons.

During this time, he started to create his own company, JMC - either Jupiter Mining Corporation or Jonathan Murphy Corporation.

During this time, as he started with a single AVI and a few taverns, he managed to achieve ownership of around 40 cities on Cirrughin (now Chumm) planet, and a fleet of around 12 spaceships for hauling materials and builders, including Tabder-class Heavy Hauler JMC Tabby. He builded those cities from the scratch, and make them into blooming colony. To this day, You can find on the market stuff with description "JMC".

Eventually the faction was not created, due to the personal reasons, and all the assets were placed into PIIP, now known as Imperigroup.

Jonathan Murphy also helped the PIIP to build and develop cities in later stage.

Back in Galactic Empire

When NIO merged with GE, Murphy decided to get back to service in Navy. Again, he had to enlist from the rank of recruit.
