Franz Edelstein

Franz Edelstein is a going Imperial serving under the Regional Government. With dark red hair, a pale skin a emerald greenish eyes, his physical appearance is completely harmless, reflecting very well how he has been raised back at Coruscant. Franz is a young one very good with the words, polite and a gentleman, even though he tends to not get very closer to anyone, as he is a little afraid of close relationships even between friends.

Standing as a middle young aged boy, and weighting around 52Kg, Franz is a very weak person, physically. Mainly seen wearing robes or elegant suits, his body is indeed a mistery, due to his heavy clothing preferences, mainly a mixture of black and white robes. His hair is short, spiky over his forehead down to the nose with a dark tone of red, inherited from his father. The eyes, a greenish emerald color are hidden behind a pair of glasses, due to a small problem with his vision that was refused to be corrected with bacta treatments. The reason however, may be that the glasses gave him a more serious expression.

Always gentle and polite, Franz is a perfect gentleman with all those around him, but taking the very caution to not get too close to the others. Even though his smiles was a rare thing to witness, the young voice of him transmit an experienced tone of what he is saying. In most of cases, he seem to be very confident and secure of what he is talking about. Respectful and acting like a professional, young Franz gets easy confidence of the ones surrounding him, as he is indeed someone the others can depend on, and count on.

Early Life

Edelstein Family

Franz Edelstein has born at year -6 day 120, at Coruscant. Son of a very rich family, but with a contused background. The Edelstein family was very known in the region of Southport, a very small city-port in the surface of Coruscant, for being leader in a services company, mainly of allocating personnel. Albert Edelstein was a mid-aged man typically driven by the credits and the power it brings. He was far from being ruthless, but his tongue was indeed made of poison. He was trickster, cheater and an enterprise genius.

Albert Edelstein is the name of his father. Leader of the Edelstein Company, the one responsible for relocating ships at the Southport city, Albert is a lusty man. Not restringing his business just to the local area, Albert also has influence in some interplanetary companies, but not an active role over them. Even being a bad person, he was honest. Everything he did was within the law, but his own interests was the only thing that mattered to Albert. However, his personal life was different from his public one.

Because of Albert's thirst for power and self pleasure, Franz never met his mother. Albert cheated the woman, who's name was never mentioned to the young child, while she was still pregnant. In rage, the woman vowed to disappear in the galaxy after the birth. She knew that without Albert's financial support, she couldn't rise a child alone, and also knew that Albert wouldn't pay her anything due to his influences and powers.

Albert didn't complained at all, as for his own plan was running right as he wanted to. He never wanted a child to love; He wanted a son to continue his jobs after he was old enough to continue on. Something that Albert completely wanted to keep alive, was the family name "Edelstein" such as his company. The woman then left, leaving the rich business man with the young children. Albert however, never married again, but kept secretive relationships all along his life.

The Edelstein Logistic Company was a very small one compared to the high power of the Coruscant main enterprises, but at the small city of Southport, it did very well what it was intended to do. The main functions of the company was to provide logistic services to third party industries from Coruscant. Located at Southport, its main jobs was to transport new ships from the central capital of Coruscant, to the ports around the planet, as for many industries had little interest in paying personnel for this sort of job. It was a relatively profitable job, but the main source of Albert's powers was the laces he made with the big names of Coruscant. Quickly joining the sphere of influence of many industries and trading companies, Albert could manage himself to a position where some depended on Edelstein's work, and so he could as well manage some more credits for his own.

Childhood

Franz has a nearly common childhood among the others. The family company resided at Southport City, but he has been raised at the capital Coruscant. Albert never really cared about the boy, but did for his health. Franz always has been a weak one, and his father feared for the worse, like a kidnap from rival companies. At his earlier life at the schools, he was a very ordinary boy. No exception was made for him, and probably none of the other students neither instructors new that he was son of Albert Edelstein. It was a very common life that Franz enjoyed for a very little amount of time however.

Soon after some years at school, Albert transferred him for a private school of the "elite", as it was told him. The meaning of this were quite obvious. He didn't want to have his name misunderstood by the others, for letting his sole son at a public school. That plus the fact that Albert has a very wide vision of himself, and feared for a kidnap of the boy, even though he was not that important for people to concern about doing so. It was when Franz really began his life. At the private school in the center of Coruscant, Franz began the lectures about very specific matters. Most of them, administrative and management orders. Albert wanted that Franz assumed the Edelstein Company, so he has to prepare the young boy for that.

At the private school, the relationships between Franz and anybody else was even worse than at the public one. Even as a boy, he was very closed to himself and only talked to others when extremely necessary. He was not shy, but just reclusive. At the private school he was changed to, it became worse for the sons of other military and political powers, were his colleagues. The other young students weren't more intelligent or more instructed than Franz was, but for sure they had a better and richer family, what completely drive their personalities for being sort of boring people and full of themselves. Franz soon noticed that, and using of his very reclusive personalities, he managed to survive that school times.

The convince with his father was, however, a close one. Franz didn't like him at all, but also didn't hated him. It was the person who spent most of time with the young, probably that answering to the question of where Franz developed a so good speech technique. Albert spent most of his time at home, for he has all the sort of employees to do his job. He was a bad boss however, firing people for stupid reasons and many time being abusive and shouting with everyone else. Franz witnessed it all, but at the young age it was too soon for the boy to understand what exactly was happening.

Young Age

When Franz reached his adolescence, he was a smart person who already knew what he wanted for himself. And it was completely not to be like his father was. By this time Franz developed a huge dislike for Albert due to his methods. Franz, formed at the private school he attended to, was nearly as good at administration as Albert was, since not only the school provided his knowledge but also the day to day basis at Albert's side. He knew that what his father was doing was wrong, but never confronted him openly. He knew he couldn't do anything to change his moods.

Albert at the end of his career became even worse than what he was. Not only being mean to the employees anymore, but also he was ruining people's life. The Edelstein Company was near the crash, due to new companies at the same field of services that Edelstein provided, but also due to more respect that their leaders had. Albert was soon to be known for the bad person he was, and also, Franz did knew it.

The young Franz, by now having around his 17 years old, decided to indeed to something about it. He was way too intelligent by that time to just change the company. It wouldn't help the others, just those who lived under its rule. Franz saw that he needed to do better than that. He needed to indeed help the others, but not only regionally. He was now developing a strong sense of justice and compassion for the less gifted personnel of his surroundings, mostly the ones who were employed by his father. Franz then looked upon the government. It was the only way to for sure do something to help the others, within the law and also effectively. The Galactic Empire was the best bet for him, since it was the most powerful and influential power within the galaxy. The republic seemed to be an option, but soon he noticed of its corruption. It would be no different from what his own father was doing. Without letting anyone know, he enlisted himself for the Galactic Empire, and soon was to be moved for the Academy.

Albert was against it, completely, for his plans for Franz was that the young one continued his late company. Franz saw it as the final blow to Albert. He was paying for being so mean and now, corrupt with every single employee. He didn't had the resources nor the age to proceed at the Company. It was doomed to fall. Franz didn't cared. It was no longer a way of living for anyone, and most of the employees could easily find their jobs at one o the others, due to their experiences at the field. Albert cursed Franz, but lost in age, and no more as influential and powerful as he once were, nothing could be done.

Having only the necessary to carry on with his academy courses, Franz left Southport, heading towards the Imperial Academy to begin in a piratical way, his life as an Imperial in order to change the galaxy around him. He was willing to give all the Imperial Citizens, the same chances, and life quality.

Imperial Career

Imperial Academy

As soon as Franz left his home city towards the Imperial Academy, a new step for his life has began. By entering the Imperial Academy building, the majestic structure almost intimidate him, but the feeling that it was indeed something to respect filled his entire body. Franz since the beginning knew that it was the right choice in order to give the other a better life. The dormitories was soon known by Franz as his new home.

The time being at the Academy was way more pleasant than the early life of the boy. Now he felt a little more at home, as all the others around him seemed to have that same helpful spirit and loyalty to the people from the Empire. Franz was happy there. His personality however couldn't change. During the Academy courses, as it was at his early schools, he never made a friend, but several fellows. Franz was a popular boy, as he was not only very polite and pleasant to speak with, but his appearance was also a pretty one. His relationships however never happened, neither did his tastes for boys or girls. It was as if he didn't really cared for that. The lectures were all the things that filled his head. Texts what spoke exactly of what he was feeling for that moment made it even more enjoyable for the young Coruscanti to attend at it.

Even though the exams were never a problem for Franz, the physical part of his training was something to be concerned with. He was never trained nor used to physical exercises. His weak body proved to be a problem for the Imperial. Even if he wanted to join the Military aspect of the Empire he couldn't. It was soon noticed by his instructor, the Lieutenant Junior Grade Doogie Darkrose, whose instructed Franz during his academic courses. Even with that to be concerned about, his spirit was not shaken. He knew very well that he didn't needed to know how to shoot a blaster gun or how to pilot offensively a TIE-Fighter in order to make the people's life a better thing. His concept of helping the others was wider than that. Otherwise, he deeply knew that the order needed to be kept for the safe lives of Imperials, and that's the reason he respects so much the Military, but the changes in a practical way, could only be done by the government.

When the final exams arrived, Franz has no worries of not being approved. It was not over confidence from the Coruscanti, but indeed his efforts to learn the way of the Imperials. While many other Imperials used their free time at the Academy for playing with others, and doing some sports, Franz were closed at his quarters studying. He was not a study-a-holic, but he was indeed completely interested at the Imperial Government, as it seemed to have the exact concepts of living that he has before. It was something to change people's life for a better, and without compromising the others. It was actually something considered perfect by the young Imperial. Passing long hours studying the architecture, engineering, laws, protocols and taxes administration for the Government, it was normal that he lacked the physical aspect of the tests, what resulted in just a Basic Graduation.

Franz scored 94.7% at the exams mostly because of his poor performance at the physical exams. He couldn't swim too fast, neither shoot too precisely. That was the main source of his grade. The young Edelstein however didn't concerned about the graduation matters. He was not a careerist person who just was seeking for better payment and ranks withing the Empire. He was willing to indeed serve under the Emperor and provide a good life all the Imperial citizens. It was common that he would develop a hate for those who disturbed the peace and the way of life of the Imperials, such as the rebels and other enemies of the peace. But he knew entirely that he was not meant to confront those forces directly as the Military would. His battle for peace and a good life for the others, was from behind a desk, providing practical changes in their cities and planets, improving then their methods.

After the graduation guaranteed by Doogie Darkrose, Franz was assigned to his desired branch of services within the Empire. Until then, he didn't knew exactly where to be expected in service, but trusted enough in the decisions of the High Command to allocate him to a place where his services was needed. It was the first step out of the Academy where Franz indeed started his Imperial Career.

Government

Now with his Basic Academy Graduation badge over his government uniform, he took a shuttle that would transport him to the desired system of services. What to be expected was still a mistery for the young Imperial, as he had no actual experience in what he was to perform, just what he learned early at the schools and soon at the Imperial Academy. Information seemed to be very strict, and Franz was sure to meet with what he was willing for a long time: A chance to help the people who couldn't help themselves without the support of the Government.
