Ras Krusher is an Officer in the Imperial Army. Raised as an orphan, Ras was forced into military service for the Ord Mantell militia at the age of 14. Feeling Ras could pull off scouting missions being a that he was a young teenager. Pirates and other Militia targets wouldn't focus to much on the kid suspecting him more as collateral then a threat. He was recruited during an Imperial recruitment drive on the planet, he took the first ship off and headed to the Imperial Academy. After successful completion of the Imperial Academy Ras became an Officer in the Imperial Army.

Early Years

A settlement on Ord Mantell often where Ras made his home

Ras Krusher isn't sure where he was born, he was told as a young orphan he was found in ship wreckage from a downed freighter in the Mentellian plains, he had always visited the ship for many years following never to learn its true origin. Ord Mantell was a war torn planet some consider to be a junkyard or dumping ground for pirates, lowlifes, criminal types. Ras was adopted by a Militia Colonel who found him during anti-piracy operations on the planet. For years he would teach the young boy how to fight and survive off the plains and its bounties. Ras was a name that was given to him by his adopted father. Colonel Hartheo Krusher, Commander of the Ord Mantellian Militia.

His father often called him sneaky and tactful, he began to hunt at the age of 7 with his fathers blaster rifle. Often hunting larger predators like the native savrip - a large creature known for its ferocity and violent behaviors. He sported his prey in his fathers house on the walls and sold the hides and other parts of the beasts for scrap or even credits. His father taught him how to track people and creatures based on the environment and often assisted in Militia rescue missions by directing special groups to victim locations. He was known for rescuing stranded animals that he often considered incapable of defense, like birds, smaller cats, some dog types.

During the start of the Galactic Civil war Ras always wanted to join the Empire like his dad used to be and join the Legendary stormtrooper legions. After his dad passed away from illness and lack of medical care available to the planet, Ras found himself being forced into helping the militia even more so, this time forced to kill other people that the militia stated were targets. He felt like the militia was attempting full control over its citizens and try to form a dictatorship. Something that has occured on this planet multiple times, only to fail and cause mass chaos. He had only wished the Empire would intervene and stop child slavery and corruption.

When Ras was 18 he had lucked out and the Empire had visited the planet, pushing for enlistment. Taking this opportunity Ras signed up and left the same day for Imperial controlled worlds to begin Academy training and eventually join the Imperial Army.

Ord Mantellian Militia

Ras's adoptive father was in charge of the Ord Mantellian Militia, he had hoped to rebuild the planet into a safe nest for all its people who wished to be farmers, scrap yard owners and the like. Ord Mantell was often the sight of piracy attacks, bandits, terroristic activites and often crimes waves that the Militia just could not stop. Not getting to spend a lot of his youth with his adoptive father was difficult for the young boy who would be home alone for random spouts of time, not having a mother to care for him in his fathers leave. Often local militia officers would stop by to check on the boy to make sure he is doing well before heading back into the fray.

His father began training him when he was 5 years old, teaching him the basics of hunting and tracking. Not wanting his son to be a violent person, he taught his son to focus on tracking and catching the prey versus shooting it. Though later on due to an over population of Savrip's polluting and attacking settlements the gloves came off. Ras began to learn how to hunt with a rifle at the age of 7 where he began to focus on kill shots and disabling shots. The Militia struggling to keep membership to enforce and to protect the laws and people begun incorporating children in the ranks as spies, scouts, messengers and sometimes as distractions.

Having built up a small career as a beast slayer and offering scouting services Ras would start to see a shift in Militia activities, some would say the shift was the turn that all the settlers feared, a new dictator. His father was killed during a skirmish with pirates who claimed to be allied with the Rebels in the Galactic Civil War and with his fall a new leader took the lead role. Young men and some boys would never come back home again. No one knew what was happening. Ras becoming a victim at this point, he struggled to keep up 20 hour days as a young teenager. He was ordered to hunt down political opponents and report their whereabouts back to the new Colonel.

Ras became captured in a political civil war in his home settlement and was arrested for treason. He did not fear death or even loss. A few months had passed and the wars had died down to where it was barely even mentioned anymore. Ras was finally released when he was 17, after spending the last decade fighting and the previous months in prison he had no idea what he would do. He tried to hunt again but the creature populations had decreased due to corporations moving to Ord Mantell and off-world hunters coming for prey here.

In last year 16 Ras would catch a break, he had always wanted to join the Empire but could not afford a ticket off world. Imperial Recruiters visited several settlements and Ras took this as a sign and signed up, hoping to join the Imperial Army. He never looked back on Ord Mantell or its theorized rebel connections.

Imperial Service

On year 16, Day 303 Ras landed at the Imperial Academy. He was greeted by his training officer and a dorm room was set up for him to live in during his tenure with the Academy. Ras spent the first few days of his Imperial career reading and testing on Imperial culture, history, and laws of the Empire. During his down time he focuses on physical toning, reading up on previous Imperial hero's that he strives to be like, and often gets up early in the morning to go run several laps around the Academy track. Fitness, intelligence, loyalty, and dedication to studies is a big deal while in the academy and Ras has so far proven to be above average. His desire to be an Imperial igniting the eternal flame of motivation leading him to success and a highly decorated career one day.

On year 16, Day 310 Ras completed the Imperial Academy and was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant and joined the Imperial Army. A day or two later 2nd Lieutenant Krusher was assigned to one of the many legendary Imperial Legions, he immediately was assigned a company and began his official commander training.
