Bersh Mored had grown up on Coruscant for as long as he could remember. His parents had perished from a disease when Bersh was young, so Bersh only vaguely remembered much of his childhood. The Imperial orphanage was what Bersh remembers most about his youthful days. The Orphanage he grew up in, was not horrible in the slightest compared to what most stories would tell. Every day, the children were thankful for the Emperor and what he provided them. Decent meals, a roof over their head and training in whatever allocation they felt best suited for.

For Bersh, he loved to tinker with complex things like engines, machines and droids. He could not recall the exact number of times he got in trouble for taking apart the mouse droids when he was younger. However, he always put them back together and sometimes, working just a bit better then before. As he got older, he would move onto bigger and more complex machinations. His later teen years, Bersh would work in a local garage to earn a few extra creds while he took apart speeder engines and repaired them. He would get the occasional star cruiser call-in and assist the main mechanic for the garage. Those calls were always the best to Bersh.

When the time came to be too old to live in the Orphanage at the age of 18, Bersh had to decide to either move out into a place of his own and work full time for the garage...or make something truely special of himself. He thought back to the days he was growing up, always seeing the Imperial Flag and portrait of the Emperor hanging in hallways. He decided that it was his turn to give back to the society that took care of him. He enlisted autotically for the Academy, where he graduated and joined the Imperial Navy. It was Bersh's turn to take care of others, in the name of the Empire.
