Character History

Young Zadkiel

Ramiel Zadkiel was born in year -5, day 252. His parents are unknown as he was abandoned as an infant at an orphanage. He never figured out why his parents abandoned him, but his care taker always insisted it was because of the galactic war and they didn't want to bring a child into such a tremulous situation. When he was five years old, he was eventually adopted by a mercenary type man named Tyler Faysal. Tyler was a retired general from the galactic war, and grew up with a healthy appreciation of the finer things in life, like a modest home, hunting your own food, and good old traditional living away from the bustle of a town. His paranoia and values from the war was very evident in the way he initially treated Ramiel, Ramiel was primarily adopted to act a main for the veteran. Tyler was responsible for cleaning the house, preparing meals that Tyler brought home, cleaning and maintaining the Yt-1300, and anything else Tyler requested.

Noticing his potential during a hunting trip, Tyler started to take a liking to Zadkiel and trained him, as if he were one of his former soldiers. For the next twelve years, Ramiel underwent extensive training in all areas that Tyler thought were essential to survival in a warring galaxy. Every morning Zadkiel would wake up, go on a run around their property and make sure there were no bandits near their home. If there were bandits, he would grab Tyler and his friends, and Tyler would start to show him flanking maneuvers and how to aim properly. Once the Bandits and perimeter of their home was safe from potential intruders, Tyler would take the loot from the bandits, clean it up and restore it. He would slice into any locked cargo containers that the Bandits had as well, and they would divided the loot among all. The next day, he would take the items to the local junk yard and attempt to sell it. Anything that he couldn't get rid of, he would put on a holocrone advertisement.

Eventually over time, Tyler became Father and Ramiel became Son. At last, Ramiel had the father he wanted. Their bond, allowed Tyler to relax in his aging state, and trust Ramiel to handle most of the day to day tasks with minimal supervision. With this newfound trust, he taught Ramiel how to fly the Yt-1300, and taught him the theory of piloting different vessels. How flying a small Freighter like the yt-1300, was substantially harder than a vehicle meant for the ground, but also significantly easier than a capital ship. After years of practice, Ramiel became an adequate pilot with the yt-1300, and had a solid theoretical knowledge of piloting anything in general.

On year 19, day 252, Ramiel's twenty-fourth birthday, Tyler fully retired from training Ramiel believing he had already taught his son everything he could, to survive the galactic war.

Joining the Empire

He maintained the hunting life style, did his regular routine of soldier training, cared for his father, and went about his stagnate time until Year 21, day 16, Emperor Seele the First, accepted the surrender of the notorious New Republic. As celebration and news flooded through the house, his father was stoked and surprised. Finally he declared what side of the war he was on, when he confessed to Ramiel as he went to bed a few days later that he promised his commanding officer that he would never give up the fight until the Rebels had lost it all. He passed away later on, into a quiet, moon field night, with a smile on his face. While mourning the loss of his father, Ramiel maintained his stagnate living situation, trying to figure out what to do next. A part of him wanted to search out his birth parents and finally close up that lost mystery. Another part of him wanted to adopt a child and provide a home, as Tyler had done for him. In the end, The Rebellion decided his fate.

With the eruption and protest of the Emperor's rightful reign: The Resistance, The Rebellion and the Rebel Alliance all erupted into terrorist attacks. The turmoil and damage being done to young lives could not go unnoticed. The war was indeed far from over, his father was mistaken. Hoping to honor his father's memory and to protect the citizenry of the Galactic Empire he sold everything he owned for some credits, walked to starport and left Kiffex for Prakith. Upon arrival, he enrolled immediately into the Imperial Academy and underwent the necessary training to hopefully join His Majesty's Imperial Army. With dedication and relentless studying on ships, procedures, policies, and a mass flood of organizational information, Ramiel graduated the academy in what felt like no time at all. What was most surprising to everyone, is even with the drug scandal in his class, on Year 21, Day 259 Ramiel Graduated from the Imperial Academy with honours. He would never forget what Colonel Marquis Hamet taught him during the academy and he only hoped to prove himself to both Colonel Hamet and his father.

Imperial Army

After graduating the Imperial Academy, Ramiel's wish was granted. He was commissioned into His Majesty's Imperial Army as a Second Lieutenant on Year 21, day 264. While his other graduates from the Imperial Academy went out and celebrated at the local taverns with their accomplishments, Ramiel began studying more intensely. He had read in the academy the responsibilities and expectations demanded from commissioned officers in His Majesty's Imperial Army, and he knew he could not let them down. He was driven to prove himself. He wanted Hamet to be proud of training him, he wanted to show the Security Bureau Chief , Elarain Belleraux, who helped him register for the Academy that he was not a waste of time and effort. Above all, he wanted to prove that he did deserve the Imperial Army, that those who detested the Emperor, would find justice.
