Personal History

Childhood Life

Born and raised on Dromund Kaas within the vast complexes of Kaas City. Living life under the order of imperial rule, and full of rich ancient sith imperial history. The Viruaal family survived among the many other citizens of the empire. His father Soldar Viruaal worked as a freighter pilot for a local merchant group that often did private business with the local imperial fleet while his mother worked as a teacher at Kaas University. At the age of 7, His mother Alrianna Viruaal, and father died at the hands of pirates en route to relatives that lived on Eriadu. Arcturius barely escaped with his life hiding among cargo until an Imperial patrol ship spotted and boarded the captured transport and the attached marauder.

Teenage life

When Arcturius began his teenage life years later with a decent amount of money from an inheritance and lived with his Uncle Ronan Viruaal. Ronan like Arcturius' father held a job among the stars, however, unlike him, he was a patrol ship captain in CorSec. As Arcturius grew more into his teens and continued his schooling, Ronan discovered his nephew held a talent for space command and tactics. Nurturing this talent became a goal for both men, to the point Ronan acquired permission to administer something special. A few more years later during Arcturius' schooling graduation dinner saw exactly what for. Arcturius along with a few of his uncle's peers within CorSec established a theoretical test requiring a tactical essay. Arcturius wrote a theoretical essay that attracted the attention of his local Corellian imperial recruiter who made Arcturius the offer of his dreams. He would go to the Imperial Prakith Academy and do his best to join his Majesty's navy.

Imperial service

The Prakith Academy

Arcturius's life at the academy was from the start of everything he had hoped. Descending to the academy ground he was able to witness the defense fleet in charge of safeguarding the empire's future. Quickly getting accustomed to Imperial life and with the guidance of his training officer Captain Letrac, he graduated from the Academy with honors and in the Navy right where he thought he belonged.

Imperial Navy

Arcturius served as an Ensign having been assigned a scouting role for multiple operations receiving high praise from FLEETCOM to which he was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. During Operation Hard Hat/New Dawn Viruaal had the unfortunate run-in with a Trandoshan and bought time for a fellow officer losing an eye in the process. A few days after that event the then full Lieutenant received a package from an unknown sender with an eyepatch fashioned from Trandoshan Skin with a note that stated "Aye up an Eye for an Eye". It was not until later Viruaal went on to receive his basic CAPCOM badge outside normal procedure showing his tactical skill then shortly after a promotion to Lieutenant Commander. After his promotion, Viruaal was offered the position to be a part of COMPNOR part-time in the form of working as a writer for the Imperial News Beauru and as a Junior Training Officer of the Academy, because of this Viruaal decided to spare the new recruits his grotesque look and adopted a Facial mask seen around the Empire.

Transition to the Reserves

By Year 23 Day 11, Lieutenant Commander Arcturius Viruaal had served with distinction across numerous naval operations, internal training programs, and COMPNOR responsibilities. However, amidst a wave of Imperial restructuring, Viruaal was officially moved to the Naval Reserves. The transfer coincided with sweeping reforms enacted under the throne, which included decentralization of fleet assets and the consolidation of Imperial military branches.

Despite stepping away from active duty, Viruaal continued to contribute to the Empire through advisory roles. He remained in contact with Naval War College officials, submitting advanced tactical simulations and scenario reports that were incorporated into officer training regimens. Several of these exercises have since been credited with shaping strategic responses and other Mid Rim security adjustments.

Viruaal also maintained his involvement with COMPNOR for a time, publishing strategic opinion pieces to be reviewed.

Life in the Shadows

Though officially inactive, Arcturius Viruaal remained a loyal son of the Empire. Operating from a modified Gozanti-class cruiser known as Revenant Echo en route to Coruscant for reserve assignment, he quietly monitored independent systems and mentored promising Imperial cadets who sought his expertise.

His iconic facial mask, once a means to conceal the injury sustained during Operation Hard Hat/New Dawn, had by this time become a symbol of sacrifice and resolve. Recruits at the Academy often cited Viruaal's story as an example of the cost of service and the strength of Imperial duty.

Whispers in the core worlds suggest Viruaal’s strategic mind was occasionally tapped for classified consultations involving fringe threats and internal security breaches. While no official orders confirm his reactivation, many believe he continues to serve the Empire from the shadows, ever-watchful, ever-prepared.

As galactic tensions rise and new enemies emerge, the legacy of Lieutenant Commander Arcturius Viruaal serves as a reminder that true Imperial officers never rest.

Return to Active Service

On Year 26 Day 135 at 10:50 CGT, Arcturius Viruaal officially returned to active duty within the Imperial Navy. The unexpected yet welcome recall came under direct recommendation from High Admiral Marc Farstan, who personally submitted the reinstatement request to Naval Command. The move signaled both a recognition of Viruaal’s prior exemplary service and a renewed need for his strategic acumen.

Continuing to hold the rank of Lieutenant Commander, Viruaal awaits formal reassignment. His return has sparked speculation regarding changes and potential task force deployments, particularly in contested Mid and Outer Rim systems. While no public statement has been made by FLEETCOM, several officers have already expressed their eagerness to serve alongside the storied officer.

Imperial sources also have noted that his return has been met with ceremonial respect; his name once again appearing on duty rosters has been described by one Academy instructor as "a reminder that the Empire never forgets its finest."
