Early Life

Mason Thomas Wade was born to a loving father and mother on a peaceful planet known as Datooine located in the Outer Rims. He was born into a small village that is concentrated out in the grassy plains of Dantooine. Mason was the son of a special goods trader whom often left home to find lucrative work with various trading organizations across the galaxy. Mason's mom a very stout and tough woman stayed home and raised him. Life on Dantooine was simple and that was the way the occupants often liked it, Mason did not grow up rich but he also did not long for anything for he had everything he needed to grow up and that was really the only thing of life he knew. Mason was only eight years old when he received the news that his father had been killed by a band of pirates who had overtaken his ship. Even at such a young age no one and nothing could protect him the loss of his father. After his fathers death Mason lived what some might call a half life, in one life he tried desperately to be the nice boy he was deep down inside and in the second life he was an angry young man who lashed out at everyone, by his early teen years he was filled with hate and cursed the world he lived in and the galaxy which had taken away his father. As much as his mother tried she could not erase his pain, the agony he felt inside, life was leading Mason down a rather dark road and there was nothing it seemed that could change that.

Mason was only sixteen when his path changed for whatever reason that day he ended up in one of the many large cites that dotted Dantooine far from his village, this was where he ran across an Imperial Recruitment officer who was looking for new Recruit to join the Galactic Empire. Mason being from a village had no idea what the Galactic Empire was, but for reasons beyond his control he found himself talking to the Recruitment officer. They seemed to talk for a long time, for the first time Mason had found himself revealing the death of his father to pirates, the officer seemed to understand him more then anyone else had before. When their conversation had concluded Mason had finally found something to shoot for, for the first time since his fathers death he had a purpose in life. Being too young to join up at the time Mason decided that he would train himself up, his heart set on one day joining the Imperial Army and protecting people from the likes of the pirates that infested the galaxy. However he was just a young man and knew nothing of fighting, and Dantooine was mostly a place of peace and a lot of people wanted nothing to do with helping him learn to fight. But by luck he heard of an old hermit who lives a couple miles from his village way out in the grass lands, as the story went the man was a master of martial arts, it was even said the old man had once fought in a great war long ago and had done amazing things in combat. Determined to find this man Mason set out on a chilled morning and walked the distance across the grassy plains until he chanced upon a small hand built building. Upon entering he meant for the first time a man named Sangu and it was that day that Mason's training started. Seven years, Mason trained hard with Sangu for seven years, everyday was hard and was fill with hardship, pain and sweat. But Mason dream drove him forward, and within seven years Sangu had taught Mason the finer points of fighting and at the same time also had changed Mason for the better if he knew or not. Spending so much time with Sangu had in reality filled the hole in heart when he lost his father and Sangu became the father he had lost. Sangu taught Mason many things outside of fighting such as patience, peace, happiness, among a few mentioned. It was a dark day when Mason showed up for training one day and found that Sangu had passed peacefully in the night, for the second time in his life Mason was broken hearted and he was again alone and walking a path back towards the darkness. Mason spent the next two year wrestling with the emotions he felt within himself, and in reality had started to forget his dream of joining the Galactic Empire all together and disappearing someplace far away where he had no memories anymore. In the end Mason remembered what Sangu had taught him and while it took a long time he chose to keep moving forward instead of laying down and dieing. Mason put through his application to join the Galactic Empire and in year Y17D71 he was accepted into the Galactic Empire and left Dantooine on a shuttle too his new life.
