Thomas Winters is a Ensign in the Galactic Empire whose career is only beginning. He recently graduated with honors and joined the grand Imperial Navy.
History
Early Life
Thomas was born near a deep crater town in Soronia to his mother and father at the turn of the new galactic standard time in Year Zero. On the day of the new year, his father and mother welcomed him and his twin sister into the world to the bleak mining towa of his home world. His father worked the ship salvage yard and his mother not one to stay home worked the factories that forge durasteel for imperial ships in production. It was in the formative years here that Thomas became enamored with space.
Often joining his father on salvage jobs, Thomas became very well acquainted with ships of the galaxy. He and his dad would fix up old star fighters and fly the deep craters that littered the surface of the planet. It was a good life until a mining accident cost the life of his father at age 18, forcing Thomas into the breadwinner role of the family. A couple years later it was revealed the mining accident that took his father’s life came as a result of a rebel sympathizer trying to smuggle parts off world. His father had attempted to stop the terrorist cell, and met his end at the hands of those who sought to destabilize the galactic government.
Joining the Empire
After learning of his Fathers death at the hands of sympathizers of the rebel alliance, Thomas resolved to join the Empire, to ensure other families would not have to go through the same hardship Thomas did in losing his father for no good cause. Dedicated to supporting his family, and sending fund for his mother and sister to get off world and retire early, he enlisted with the Imperial Academy and began a life of service to the Empire.
