The Ninth Imperial Fleet was officially formed on Y 10 D 165 (May 17, 2009) and is the result of the great GE-NIO Merger. It is comprised of both former NIO personnel as well as long serving naval soldiers from the GE. After just a little over 2 months the unit successfully completed it's first two missions while working on it's first major operation to strengthen the Imperial presence it it's assigned sector.

Fleet Commanding Officer

CAPT Mark Inkster

Born and raised on Corellia, he started his career in the New Imperial Order, where he was assigned to the New Imperial Navy after graduating from the Academy. He was put into the Vindication Battlegroup, which later evolved into the NIO version of the 2IF. Six Months later he joined COMPNOR, where he served both as Academy Instructor and as recruiter for the Centre for Recruitment. Through hard work he advanced through the ranks and finally made it to XO of the 2IF. Soon after he took up a full time position as Academy Commandant and Director of the Imperial Centre for Recruitment and served some time in those functions. He later returned to the Navy and was put in command of the main logistics fleet of the NIO: The 3IF. Only after the NIO Navy underwent a restructure he found himself in charge of the NIO Navy Starfighter Corps where he served until the great GE-NIO Merger. After being reincorporated into the Galactic Empire Inkster was given the rank of Captain and was put in command of the newly formed Ninth Imperial Fleet.

Fleet Executive Officer

LTCMDR Marshall Ridgeway

Born on Kuat he started his military career in the Tamerin Foundation which had strong ties to the New Anzat Order and formed a new military unit under the NAO banner. Marshall worked his way up through the ranks and eventually got his commission as commanding officer. Things turned against him and with an arrest warant and a price on his head he had to run for his life. Having lost everything he joined the New Imperial Order in the rank of an Ensign and started the steep climb of having to prove himself loyal. Shortly before the Great GE-NIO Merger he was promoted to the rank of LTCMDR. His time in the Empire began with an assignment as CoS in the 3IF but after the departure of the former XO he was assigned to the 9IF as its new Fleet Executive Officer.

LTjg Tareg DaRuup

Yet another veteran pilot from Corellia that went to serve in the Imperial Navy. After graduating fron the Imperial Academy he was transfered to the Second Imperial Fleet. This unit became his home for over two years of service and he slowly worked his way up through the ranks. Prior to the "Geat GE-NIO Merger" he had been holding the XO position in the 2IF for several months. He currently is the CoS - also called "fleet mother" - in the Ninth Imperial Fleet. He firmly lives by the principles "leading through example" and "leading from the front".

Operations Adjunct

FOF Jaran Argon

Another formidable pilot born on Corellia that joined the Empire in December of 2007. He began his career in the First Imperial Fleet and saw the insides of cockpits of different fighters while on scouting missions deep into enemy territory. As he progressed up the ranks he finally was assigned as pilot of one of the 1IF's VSD's and was put in command of a task group in two operations. He is one of the few men that even has been on duty on the priced Interdictor Cruisers blockading an enemy system. Before the GE-NIO Merger he had assisted the Ministry of Industry, by transporting materials for their construction efforts. He is the most senior enlisted in the Ninth Imperial Fleet.
