Arturia Paorach
This article has been an Imperial Archives featured article.
Arturia stands at a respectable 6 foot 2 inches, has short dark brown hair and wears eye glass with a thin gun metal frame. His eyes are dark blue a trait he got from his mother. Unlike his father he is not as large in the chest as someone his height might normally be. This leaves him more lean and lanky.

Biography
Early Years (Pre-GE):
Arturia was born -5 D19 on the home world of Hapes to a proud home. His father a member of the military had worked his way up over the course of his career to command one of the Nova class Battle-cruiser's in the Hapes Consortium navy.
His mother was one of the few women to tend to the gardens in the area and was all ways a traditionalist. Arturia had from an early age known he wanted nothing more than to serve in the navy like his father. It was one of the few places a man had a chance to stand out and make any kind of name for himself.
At the age of 10 his mother died of an illness leaving him and his father to make a living.
By the age of 14 he was unofficially serving on his father’s cruiser as a means to learn. This was when he would learn of the outside universe in greater uncensored detail. After spending years with his father’s cruiser which often went on extended border patrols Arturia had made up his mind. He wanted to join the Galactic Empire more to the point its navy. It was there he believed he could climb to heights he could never reach at home.
Imperial Service
After hoping some transports into the empire systems, Arturia enrolled in the academy straight away in the year 15 D269. He was quickly accepted after ranking in the top 10% of his exam class in CAPCOM scores. He would spend his time in the academy learning everything he could about anything he could find.
After completing the IACC course and graduating 1st in the course and with an overall 92% score the newly minted ensign was quickly handed his first assignment. Despite his excellence in CAPCOM like all new officers he was assigned to a TIE squadron. This is where he would spend his first few months to a year, after qualifying for promotion to LTJG you would have the choice of staying in the Starfighter corps or joining the command branch.
During a meeting on Y15 D344 Arturia was promoted to LTJG with these remarks, “Ensign, you have impressed me, not only with your dedication and skills, but with your helpfulness. It is my privilege to promote you to Lieutenant, Junior Grade.” With this promotion came a new appointment and a transfer to the command branch.
Effeactive Y15 D346 LTJG Paorach took command of the cruiser [redacted] and assumed her new orders.
Rika and Aturia attended the yearly Army Ball, where they first had a small disagreement with an ISB LTGEN when he mistook Rika for a waitress. After clearing the air with the general Rika agreed to stay despite the less than hospitable atmosphere. Atruria found a group of equally junior officers and they would spend the rest of the night with them.
The following months would see the young officer take part in a handful of operations. With his new cruiser command he started to make a name for him self not only in command ability but in execution of tactics. Often having to engage smaller faster ships, even then the young officer showed the capabilities of a well commanded cruiser. Aturia kept in close contact with Rika whom he now shared a special bond.
After warping up his latest tour of duty around Y16 D70 and returning to HQ for some short lived R&R. Two days in he was re-tasked along with several key people in the fleet to head to the home world aboard one of the fleets ISD for a Naval meeting. At this meeting the young officer would receive his new bars and make full LT, as well as picking up 2 decorations. One for actions in past operations and one for his computer skills, in helping with a core system issue plaguing NCOMD.
On the return trip now appointed the temporary XO of the ISD he enjoyed a small taste of what he hoped later life in the navy might hold. Sadly the return trip would be far less smooth then the original trip.
Time would wash over the young officer as it so often dose, one day bleeding in to the next. One report filed two more to go, the daily grind of an imperial officer meeting the statuesque, but there was more a burning desire to advance never content to stay put. This desire would drive him to push for better performance and a chance at some thing more. Constant pushing yield him his first major gain, he was appointed the fleet training officer for the 4th fleet. This gave him a new platform to distinguish him self from, wasting no time he started the process of proving his worth in this posting.
His next chance came in a large operation, pushing him self and his crew they manged to achieve something few had and earned a citation. Though continued work and long nights the young officer was surprised one morning at the fleet mess by his GCO, and found him self promoted to LtCmd right then and there. He now found himself in the ranks of senior officers, and the desire to see where he could go next. The wait would be short before the empire put out a call for a new director of ISMC, the new LtCmdr wasted no time in answering the call.
COMPNOR
Spurred on by his friend Syrialus Dantere, the dean of the academy at the time, and growing concerns with the navy the Lt CMDR mustered out at the end of his commission. It was on Y16 D291 that Arturia put away his naval uniform and first dawned his civilian garb, officially joining the ranks of elite. Unlike the hurry up and wait routine so common in the navy, Arturia quickly found there was only hurry up in Central Government.
All ways on the move the days would quickly blur in to one project to the next. Working jobs spanning two of the coalitions Arturia often found himself snowed under. Steadfast resolve and a lot of sleepless nights would soon see him acclimated to his new environment and then getting ahead.
One of the first major tasks was resurrecting a much neglected department; ISMC would see not only a new life but rapidly gaining successes under his leadership. No small part of this came from his ability to have a new state of the art facility constructed to house this long forgotten department. Armed with this new facility and all new staff he quickly turned its fortunes.
This ability and success soon earned him many more projects and a new title. Now fully recognized as an Administrator he was granted the ability to carry on much more important and far reaching tasks. Working his way threw endless backlogs earned him even more favor leading to his appointment as Undersecretary of Infrastructure.
With years of COMPNOR life behind him Arturia grew tired of the consent battle of the job and took his leave of RADE.
Returning from which he came Arturia found solace in naval service one more. Transferred back to the navy at the reduced rank of LTCMDR, Arturia wasted no time in rebuilding himself. Once again among friends and familiar places he quickly started making a name for himself. No longer the young and energetic officer that had first served he was now tempered by age and years of government service.
Now the architect Arturia no longer worried over the small things he once did. This may have left him less the model officer but more useful to the brass. He quickly gained a reputation for designing training operations that pushed the limits and helped fix the problems of groups. With less concern for polish and more for results he proved his worth.
