Description
Subjugation, is a stunning oil on canvas painting depicting the true might of Imperial power. Between the detail expressed in the massive Star Destroyer looming over the capital city of Naboo, and the elegant brush strokes blending the ship into the clouds, it is widely considered to be a masterpiece of the current era.
History
The painting was done sometime in the first quarter of Year 12. That artist herself was Nubian, becoming well known in the Core Worlds for her painting of her home world. The painting is believed to be inspired by the ascension of Thomas Cherokee to the Imperial Throne, the artist once again gaining hope that her homeworld might one day return to Imperial Rule.
It is one of twelve pieces of the "Viciar Collection", owned by Crueya Vandron and currently lent to and on display at the Imperial Archives Gallery on Coruscant.
