Biography

Birth

Alex D. Macer was the son of the Outer rim explorers Sharona Macer and her husband Dragonad Macer, Captain of the starship Triumph. He was born aboard the Triumph’s medical bay, in the midst of an unprovoked attack by the Rebel Alliance. With the aid of the Imperial Navy, the heavy damaged Triumph was able to succesfully ward of the cowardous Rebel attack. The ship's crew was not able to keep the ship airbourne and were forced to crashland it on the desert planet of Tatooine.

Early life

Macer was raised in Mos Eisley, on Tatooine. At the age of 10, his parents divorced and both remarried, leaving the young Macer emotionally scarred. Stuck in between two households, Alex slowly started to grow rebellious. By the time Alex reached the age of 16, he possessed an extensive criminal record and had also been in jail for Swoop theft and Joyriding. At the age of 20, Mhe left the sand dunes of Tatooine far behind and traveled to Kuat by a public transportation shuttle.

On Kuat he worked as a freelance welder for the Kuat Drive Yards and assisted in the construction of Imperial Star Destroyers.

Enlistment in the Galactic Empire

Despite performing on several Imperial aptitude tests at levels too high to be scored, Alex had no sense of purpose. This however changed. At a bar on Kuat, Macer witnessed the beating of an Imperial officer, whom had agreed to testify against three of his corrupt colleagues. The bar's patrons moved away from the scene, too cowardous and powerless to intervene. There was one who stepped forth. Macer broke the officers apart and received several beatings, resulting into a broken nose and jaw. Two of the three corrupt Imperials were hospitalized.

This bravery caught the attention of the mentioned Imperial officer and Alex was offered to apply for the Imperial Academy and after passing the hard tests he was accepted to start his training under Ensign Vrogard Delahon.

Imperial Career

Macer's desire to become a naval officer was widely known throughout the Imperial Academy and his ambitions were often envied by fellow students. After his graduation with a score of 90%, Macer was assigned to the Imperial Navy at the rank [E-2] Cadet. During his first deployment, Macer befriended Bersh Mored.
