Biography
The Aideen Family Chrest |
Zephyr was born to a wealthy merchant family in the upper levels of Coruscant. His father was Arkil Adieen, and his Mother was Selene Aridin Aideen. His father had created his wealthy trade fleets from scratch, and as the only heir, Zephyr was expected to follow in the family footsteps. He had other plans. Zephyr spent many hours a day studying battle tactics and combat training, determined to join the military. His father would have none of it. Arkil tried repeatedly to bully and coerce his son into doing what he wanted. Zephyr never gave in. Selene, Zephyr's mother however, was more than happy to support her son no matter what he chose, and so Zephyr grew closer to Selene than he did to his father.
Arguments
Zephyr's father never really relented. He constantly forced his son to study trade and other craft needed to carry on the family business, Zephyr Refused. He and his father would have long shouting matches over what Zephyr's future was to be, until his mother finally broke it up. Forcing the two away from each other the only way she could. She threatened to leave Arkil if he did not give Zephyr the opportunity to make his own choices. Arkil refused
The Divorce
Three months prior to Zephyr enlisting, Selene, his mother, backed her word, and filed for divorce when his father continued to bully him relentlessly. The breakup between his parents was hard for Zephyr, and he withdrew into himself, forming walls against intrusion.
Sarea
Sarea Moonstrider |
Two months before he enlisted, Zephyr met a girl. Her name was Sarea. After speaking with Sarea a few times at the establishment were they both worked, (Arkil had insisted his son get a proper job as well.) Zephyr got the courage to ask Sarea out. She said yes. Almost right up until he enlisted, he and Sarea dated. Sarea was a dream come true for Zephyr. She was happy, funny, and supported Zephyr, even when he went against his father. Sarea is what eventually brought him out of his cocoon. Unfortunately, it could not last. Two weeks before Zephyr enlisted in the Imperial Army Sarea was killed during a robbery at a local bank. Zephyr spent the two weeks before enlisting brooding, until eventually his father finally giving his acquiescence for Zephyr to enlist shook him out of his revere.
